marcandre
Not investment worthy but still cool. This could mean we will get more anniversary sets. Some 80s space stuff would be phenomenal.

zaphoid
I really like a lot of the anniversary stuff I've seen, but I think its mostly just a feeling of nostalgia. I imagine tons of these will be snatched up by collectors and re-sellers that the market will be too flooded to make anything on them.
Guest TabbyBoy
If only the contents would smell as nice as they did 40 years ago! I couldn't resist a good long sniff once getting past those 45deg perforations. Ya'll remember how it used to be? One if the great smells of my childhood! The_Collector
I really like how these anniversary boxes look and the vintage aspect of them but at $19.99ea...I'm still on the fence.
JimboJet
What's the production run on these? Can't imagine they will sell many at $20 for 44 pieces, but I've been wrong before. I can see these sitting at that price unless they are limited.
Banjodefairmont
With sets like 70607 Ninjago City Chase already selling for $16.00 at Wal Mart with 200+ pieces and FIVE minifigures, these at $19.99 will eventually have to be marked down to $4.99 or lower before they see any movement. Guest TabbyBoy
It would be nice to know how limited they actually are... 5,000? 50, 000? 500,000? Seeing "Limited Edition" on a box should mean exactly that. I like the stripes showing the 5 original colours (excluding the green baseplate). minicoopers11
Do we know the retail price on these yet? Edit: Oh, I thought the $19.99 was just speculation. Yikes. I'll get one each for collection, but that's it. Edit edit: That was a pretty bad article. The author being just a "contributor" (in Forbes definition, then, not a staff writer) doesn't exactly lend credibility either. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if $19.99 is the correct price...just seems it could possibly be a mistake. bigfanofnu
Just trying to connect the dots. but it looks like there are actually 3 sets. IMO still too pricey compared to piece count. Yikes. Edited January 29, 2018 by bigfanofnu

If only that truck had the 4x1x1 brick with printed grille/headlights as before. If they want to revert to old proper LEGO, at least do it properly. HandyHand
No word yet on availability of these sets in Europe, right? I would pay at most €10 per set. More than that is just ridiculous.

MusiKyle
Placed an order but I accidentally did Ship to Store to the wrong store... my fault... it's 30-mins away so it's close enough but far enough to be a pain. I can cancel the order but would have to wait 48-hour for confirmation (at which point these might be sold out) or I can try and place an order for a different one but it would be seen at my second order and likely get canceled. Guess I just bought myself a peaceful 30-min drive later this week
