Rewards towards Lego?

Forgive me if I missed this but I haven't been too active on the board.  I thought I read something that we can't use rewards points online for Lego?  Am I completely misinformed?  I am about to print out some points and was going to use them for a set.  Please set me straight

TRU restricted the rewards from being applied to any Lego purchase for few weeks. After a lot of backlash, they lifted the restriction and it is back to normal, for now anyways.

I've been able to use rewards points online for LEGO with no problem.  A few people had issues redeeming them in store but that was about a month ago and Toys R Us changed their policy back to allow it.
