emazers
This and Activisions Stampede were my 2 favorite games. 3 Hours on this game I think the person playing would Crack.

marcandre
A guy on the arcade forum I frequent loves kaboom so much he made his own cabinet
iahawks550
That's an awesome looking cabinet.....Surely that's an interchangeable controller panel. Seems like a waste of time to not have a panel with joysticks
exciter1
That’s a tough game. I’d crack! Nice cabinet though.I was always a fan of Megamania too.It probably curbed my Galaga obsession.

He could have put sticks and buttons on that panel but I think he wanted a clean dedicated look. KShine
I definitely never reached the max on Kaboom (although I was good at it). I did get into the crazy range (where the 10k skull switches into numbers) on Stampede (but I can't recall how high).
KShine
Activision always had some of the best Atari games.
TheOrcKing
I didn't think there was a legitimate end to a game like this based purely on score. Here the game just freezes compared to Pac-Man's infamous kill screen bug when hitting stage 256 with the view glitching out as if suddenly going into test mode. Anyway one point shy of a million is impressive and considering the 'freeze', I don't see how the record can be beat.
emazers
Another great thing about Activision games was if you hit a certain score you would take a picture of it and send it to Activision and they would send you a patch for that game. Most were pretty easy. My son has a bunch of them.
TheOrcKing
I remember those patches. Funny being a kid oddly obsessed with slapping patches all over your jacket, the one you took off for no one. Haha. Kaboom's patch was the "Bucket Brigade" or something like that. KShine
Wow - I just looked up the prices of those patches (and I'm pissed).
JDLego324
At some point in Kaboom, I thought the guy's expression changed. At 20000 points or something like that. Anyone remember?
MarleyMoose
I beat the arcade game RoadBlasters in the 80's. I think it was 50 levels. I sent in a special code for a certificate and got a t-shirt too.

Runner.
