Guess I’m generating my last reward and spending it today.

Bummer, because I have a few rewards sitting there that they haven’t processed yet.

Me too.

My online orders are 'Awaiting Fulfillment' a lot longer than the last time I placed an order.  I wonder if the warehouse people are swamped or if they just said 'F*** this!' and left.

Re Cardpool GC ,

i was asked for my ID again today and the not so friendly lady made sure to give me a lecture about gift card fraud and blah blah and that she will only do it this time .

guess I need to wait for my regular peeps to man the register .

Well, you might find your peeps here tomorrow.

About the last few weeks it’s going to get interesting as employees find new jobs and bail. As history has shown us time and again- you may not get that last paycheck.

Yup.  An employee told me he is doing some phone interviews and once he gets an offer he is done . They are not getting any severance either

Has anyone had any luck applying Gift Cards to purchases online?  Or even checking Gift Card balances?

I'm trying to place an order, and nada.  I keep getting an "Try again at a later time error."  I didn't really want to call in the order if I didn't have to.

I'm having issues adding them as well....no error message, just won't apply them

I just tried again and was successful....maybe the system was down

It's working for me again.  Beware on Cardpool, though - online will not take the merchandise return cards, which is the non-even number gift cards.  This is similar to what BA ran into, in that, in store, they aren't very accepting of them because they have a name attached to them now.

I'll have to venture down to TRU on Thursday or Friday to see if I can pay for a Carousel in store for home delivery.  I doubt it will work - they're probably not going to be happy with those Merchandise Return gift cards anyway.  Which means, if I can't use them online, and they won't let me use them in store, I'll have to fight with Cardpool to return them.

Went to two TRU this morning.  One had sign posted that liquidation date had not yet been set.  The other is below.  I had not heard about the postponement mentioned above, but that matches what I experienced.  None of the workers had an estimated date.

On a side note, the LEGO was pretty picked over already.  Maybe one or two of the larger sets.  Only a couple of over priced exclusives at one store.  The other store didn't have any exclusives.

What is really sad is the only sets I'm really interested in, (the cantina and speed champions) even at 10% off TRU prices still won't be below LEGO MSRP.  *sigh*  At least with LEGO I get VIP pts.

Oh, and btw, this should come as no surprise, but no more 10% discount for TRU card holders on Thursdays.

I tired this to order assembly square on Saturday and the website gave them the same error as you would get doing it yourself. The lady was AWESOME and pulled two regular gifts cards out and use the merchandise return gift cards to buy them. Then created the order that way. I was worried the the order wouldn’t ship for some reason, so I paid the extra $10 shipping to have it get here sooner.
It arrives today and I’m just hoping it has all of the pieces. I could careless if the box is damaged since it’s a personal build.

I tried online chat this morning, and nada.  They weren't willing to help.  I'm going to go instore today (hopefully), and see if I can order using these merch return cards.  If they won't take them, I fear a fight with Cardpool.  But unlike Raise, I couldn't find anything about stores going out of business.  At the end of the day, the cards are still able to be used, but if they won't take them because they are merch returns with someone else's name attached to them, then Cardpool needs to suck it up, accept my return, and move on.

The TRU Reddit feed is reporting the Liquidation should start Friday 3/23.

Manager at TRU stating that fixture liquidation probably wont start until 30-days into the closings, but that was up to the company handling the liquidation to determine what can and can't go.

EDIT:

Who knows what will happen tomorrow regarding the liquidation?.

The manager of my local TRU called last night and said that the liquidation was supposed to start today at 10% off everything....even Lego but is on hold atleast until Friday because the judge handling the case needed some more time to look at a few things.

That's a little light, even to start off. I was thinking 20% off all Lego or more. How high should we expect the discounts to get before everything is gone?

Went to the Raleigh store today. Nothing on sale. Pretty good selection of Lego. Most stuff at or over rrp. Wanted to grab a couple small Speed Champs but they were $2 over rrp. Will settle for LEGO Shop at Home on those.

I took my niece who turns three on Sunday. Told her she could get anything she wanted. She went easy on me, a bubble wand and $13 toy microwave. We spent over an hour and looked in every isle. She had a blast riding bikes and throwing balls around. Hope they can save some stores, I would love to do that for her birthday every year.
