LEGO need to realise that cutting corners = cutting profit. 75192 is an utter disappointment and an extortionate rip-off IMHO. Strong words, but 10179 looks way better. I have a feeling they will struggle to sell the new model. It's a big risk for LEGO and they should've done a better job - at least a smoother illuminated arse! I'll only buy at -50% off as it needs a lot of work. It's not worth £449.99 let alone £649.99. I think LEGO know this, hence only a few for sale at each branch. LOL if they're still on the shelves a week later!

LEGO... make sure most of your current designers are among the 1,400 to be fired!

Where did you get them from? Kindergarten?

Did somebody hack your account? ?

In your opinion. I suspect that, even just among Brickpicker forum members, the majority would disagree with you.

In a Facebookpost today TLG confirmed,  that the MF will be available at Third Party Sellers. It won't be TLG exclusive! The point of time wasn't mentioned. So I will wait for the MF to be on the shelves at TRU or another seller and will use their discounts.

I've mentioned that before it's open for B2B Lego resellers. In Germany for example it will be for about 550-580EUR per box (depends on the B2B agreement)
So if you have a friend who is running Brick Oriented Store, Toy... whatever and if he is entitled to make an order from LEGO WH he could get you one for nice bottle of vermouth.

Will be available for other parties from 1st October.

Which parts of 10179 are 'way better'?

Such a loaded question....but I'll take a shot in the dark here?

10179 Pro's...

#1...an "original" Design...it broke barriers and set the bar for "what could be done"

#2...1st editions ...with letters of Thanks and praise from lego corporate with Numbered certificate AND a cool "30th anniversary" chrome sticker.

#3...the attention to detail regarding Basic "Lines" of the model shown in the pic below

#4...an original brick built Rear Engine exterior 324 pieces vs. 20ish on the 75192

#5...the boarding ramp ...the hydrolic Lift pistons are for some reason built towards the middle of the 75192...why??...lol

#6...7...& 8 are strictly opinion...but I think the radar dish print is better cleaner...the overAll color scheme is Better...the landing gear in my opinion is better as well

#9...good ol luke skywalker and Ben kenobi

#10...minimal stickers

#11...and best of all...this is the only Set that can truly be called a "Legend" and will be referred back to for reference and set the bar documented as selling for well over $10,000 at its peak. Which is why when this is all said and done it wil still hold value to those that appreciate its legacy.

75192 pros...

#1....interior interior interior

#2...Better turret

#3...Better cockpit

#4...2000 more pieces (see #1)

#5...2 Exclusive Minifigures plus 3 buildable figures...totaling 11 figs...not Bad

#6...possibly a better internal structure Build...with obvious attempt at SNOT technics

#7...8...& 9 Too soon to tell but I'm sure when we get building we'll get it

#10...a supercool Starwars Vip card

#11...cardboard box with wheels (optional for in store)?

this is actually a huge let down since you can BrickLink 80% of those figures for 30USD w/ shipping.

C3PO - Escape Pod
Rey - Rey Speeder
Han TFA - Rathar Escape
Chewie - trash bin.
Pogos are not a figures, it's pile of bricks put together.
Finn - any TFA TLJ set literally.

No! I'm always one that speaks my mind and I honestly think that LEGO's designers are either getting lazy or being made to create a design on the cheap - and it shows.

Maybe, but I'm entitled to my opinion. I can't compare them in the flesh as I've not built a 75192 yet, but I probably will when it's discounted enough. As for investment, not a chance.

Also why signed by "A designer" doesn't that mean any random one? Surely should be "THE ACTUAL designer"

The designer (me) will not be in London, as I am finally enjoying my hard-earned vacation.
However, you can meet the designer of the original UCS Falcon, Jens (Design Director of LEGO Star Wars) as well as Michael (Design Manager). Both also LOVE to answer awkward fan questions! ;)

Now, if Jens Kronvold Frederiksen is going to be signing, then take an MISB 10179 down and get him to sign that one instead!!

The other comments on the Leicester Square signing are that the tube will be closed so good luck in getting these home in one piece.

I think you echo the sentiment of most Lego Star Wars fans.  Most of us are excited for 75192 but couldn't tell by the negativity from the last few pages in this thread . 1f625.png "The rear end is ugly"1f625.png "the fins are too tall"1f625.png " the minifigs aren't enough" 1f625.png"my 10179 is losing its prestige /value "1f625.png "lego needs to stop rehashing Ucs sets"

Those bp'ers with the negativity will probably be the first to buy on day one.. jmho
