regarding the minifigures.

10179 only had 5... so 4 on this doesn't sound beyond the realms of possibility. though it would be really disappointing

I don't think that is all of them, perhaps all from ESB but BB-8 was in the teaser so think on the back of the box will be the MF from TFA with the alternate radar dish and likely Finn, Rey and BB-8 (maybe also old Han) so a total of 7-8 minifigs.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if there are only 4-5 minifigs.

I would be truly surprised. Really seems like THE marquee set for the next 5-10 years should have the most minifigs, except for maybe minifig packs. This isn't just another UCS.

No way this has the most minifigs... I'd be shocked if it has more than 8-9 figures.  More likely to get a mynock than anything close to 20 minifigs.  Death Star is a playset and the remake was similar to the original.  This is a UCS ship, which often have 0-2 minifigs and we will be lucky to get more figures than the original.  4 figs if ESB only, 8-9 if they allow to swap the radar dish for TFA version.

Completely agree with this. I won't be shocked now if the four they are showing are the only ones included.

The Death Stars are UCS ships, according to Brickset. I realize this isn't exactly a black and white thing, at least according to some. My point is, the MILF shouldn't be compared to other UCS sets for this aspect. (in my opinion)

I dunno. I just have a feeling this thing's gonna have close to 25-30 figs. You got Luke, Han, Leia. I'd guess we'd get 3 versions of each (ANH, ESB, TFA). That's 9 alone. A couple of stormtroopers of when they searched it. They'll probably go ahead and throw in a Vader. Plus Ben Kenobi. R2D2. BB8. Original trilogy and TFA C3PO. Lando and Nein Nunb. Finn and Rey. Chewbacca. I'm probably forgetting a few.

Lalala not looking.. but from a glance I'm not a huge fan of the box? Weird black border.

Also looks like I won the guessing game so far... August 30th... roughly 7500 pieces... minifigures line up so far...

I said August 29th at 8:11 pm. I was only a couple hours off.

I don't want to get anyone mad here or think I am anti-minifigure, but I would rather see ZERO minifigures if it's not to scale.  I think minifigures in an adult collector set like this only deters from it.  Let's face it, how much playability will there be with this set?

I kind of agree, here.  My first thought seeing the 4 figs next to the model was "I thought someone called this mini-fig scaled".  No way is this mini-fig scaled!  And, if not, then there shouldn't be minifigs (IMHO)....

I hope this is not all of the minifigures we will get from the ESB. I mean the box art shows the Millennium Falcon Leaving Cloud City which means that Lando, Luke and R2D2 should also be included. It could be hiding those figures also but if not then I will have to pick up the new A-Wing set to get Lando.

Like Ed said, I would be fine with none, but if anything, Han and Chewie are more than enough.  It is their ship, their story to tell.  Luke, Leia, R2, C-3PO,  Obi-wan, sure cool, but unless there really is a place for them in this, then they are not needed.

I think they made the figures a bit bigger in the Catalog to show that they were there. Its pretty interesting that they did that, but it would've been better to see how big the falcon is next to the figures.

Those figs are clearly blown up a bit in the picture so they can be more easily seen. Otherwise you'd barely even be able to get one in the cockpit   With that said, don't take the scale of the box in that image literally either. The proportions have all been scaled up and down.

To me, the box looks real and the rest of the as looks contrived.  But LEGO monthly ads looks similar to this and I don't think it was meant to be a complete display of all the minifigures and additional pieces..
