Be patient.(if possible)  Even with the new one coming out there are collectors out there that have to have the original.

Maybe so, but there will also be a whole lot more collectors out there looking to sell their old model, after replacing their displayed 10179 with the new/improved one (plus any extra ones they might have purchased for investment).

It is better to sell it now at 2000 and buy the new one at 800 and the old one at 1200 in one year...

My is currently reaching 1000 after one day (auction on 10 days...)

For real discussion, I am mostly interested in seeing the interior if there is one, and the minifig lineup. I'd love to see a large number of figs, to span the various movies. Especially the Cloud City versions.

This thing should come with it's own Star Wars CMF set.  Throw in all those background characters we may never get elsewhere.  I'm looking at you Ponda Baba and Willrow Hood.

I  have the mail flyer that says: "Largest Lego Set Ever Is Coming Soon! Visit your local Lego Store or shop.LEGO.com on September 1 to find out what it is!"  I saw on another site that some store managers have told customers that it will not be on display in their store on Sept 1.  I asked my local store manager if this new largest set will be on display and she said, "...er... potentially..." to me, that sounds like a 'yes' doesn't it?  I mean... if the answer was 'no'... wouldn't she just say so?

I'm expecting us to see this thing (again?) anytime now before Friday.  I'm relying on my fellow humans who can't keep a secret.

I'm hoping for a Peter Griffin Han Solo with Couch.

Guys, think about THIS. What if it's ACTUALLY the version of the MF from The Lego Movie, and comes with Batman?

Discuss.

Only if you dance outside in a lightning storm holding a giant metal rod while singing Barney songs.

I don't know where this is from, but can't people learn how to spell? There are TWO N's in the word Millennium.

*edit .. haha, my keyboard made me do it. *

A statement piece with a statement price. I am glad that LEGO is making something like this, even if my money spent on 10179 went down the sinkhole. Sets are getting larger and larger, which I like quite a lot. 4000+ piece is becoming mainstream.
