Maybe 75192 and 10179 would have been more appropriate captions. Funny how people are happy with their lot until a slightly newer/younger version comes out. Car manufacturers have been dining out on this for decades with their model year strategies by changing a grille or some lights.

Making a breakthrough in functionality is not that easy nowadays, changing appearance to make it look more fashionable is a lot easier and less effort and most importantly, keep the record of routinely releasing new product to make the investor happy.

If this is going to be a limited edition (I'll still be surprised if this is the case), then I hope it's a limited 6-9 month release or they limit purchases to one per VIP card member/address.

Not everyone can shell out £650 in one hit & I wouldn't want to see people miss out because they've all been scooped out by a small number of people and scalped.

I always saw Lego investing as not comparable to scalping concert tickets, because Lego kits are widely available & for a very long time, so everyone has the chance to buy a kit at RRP.

Making kits limited edition moves into concert ticket/scalping territory.

There are going to be boatloads of pissed off people if LEGO really does release a paltry 150 "limited gifts" with the purchase of the Falcon in select markets (China).

That backlash could dwarf the death star cheese slope fiasco.

What was the limitation of the first UCS MF?  Months?  # produced?  And how long/many?  Just trying to gauge what to expect.

IIRC there were 10,000 limited editions with CoA in the first run and then 10,001-20,000 in a second run.

After that who knows.

Unless we're talking about a Micro Fighter MF, or a SW Celebration MF.

I was referring this this post..

"commemorative gift box (limited to 150 globally) signed by the designers along with a Star Wars watch, a LEGO Star Wars buildable figure, and a commemorative card. Reportedly all 150 are only available in China."

That's going to get ugly fast as they go up on ebay and all the scammers come out of the wood works with fakes. What if the buildable has some unique part or is of a unique figure (Han Solo for instance)...  I know people get upset at the SW Celebrations and other limited gifts, but usually we're talking about 1k-5k units. 150?! Come on LEGO, give those designers a signature stamp so they can do this for 10,000! :)

Oh right.  I'm still thinking it's not going to be anything too big, though.  Maybe it's the Chewbacca Buildable?  He's coming out on 9/1, so it'd be easy to slot him in there.  As for a SW watch, maybe it's one of the little buildable watches,  I don't see LEGO ponying up much for this.  Unless it's LEGO China that's actually paying for this stuff, which would explain why it's happening.

They should have given them some of those $1 keychains!

All I'm saying is that it'll be interesting. The internet is a great way to raise a stink over something so trivial as a free gift with purchase!

I hope its true about it being limited as well as the free stuff being limited as it will provide me with hours of delight and entertainment  knowing that people won't get one and reading the comments they make getting worked up over something so small.

LE will not take a hit. The other fellow is anyone´s guess.

Some more juice about 75192.

From Lego source in China. The Lego 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon to be released in Oct 2017. A beast of whopping 7541 pieces of bricks. Retail price in China would be CNY 8499 (USD 1275). The set came with signature card of the designer. Also there would be limited edition free gift restricted to 150 world wide. The limited edition free gift includes a Star Wars watch, a BrickHeadz and a commemorative card. The dimension is 21cm height, 84cm long, 56cm width. Usually the Lego price in China was 50% higher than U.S, so the price in U.S shall be USD 787. Release date would be Oct. 1 2017 at Lego Certified stores.

I requote myself. Strange they would give away SW Brickheadz before official release, but there you go.

I'm sorry but I don't see the connection to the "knockoff brand". This picture was posted by a chinese toy retailer, who as far is I can tell from their facebook-presence sells the real deal ( Hence the astronomical pricetag on the Falcon) Just because it's from China doesn't always mean it's a knockoff ;)

Sorry, I can't read Chinese.  LOL.  As for this Chinese retailer...who knows if they are "legit."  What is legit coming from China?  It's not really my point.   I'm not disputing this picture.  I think it's the new Falcon, whether it was a real one or knockoff version...it's based on the real one.   The Lepin machines are running at full speed producing the new UCS Falcon.

There's no way this is a knock-off.

Already confirmed what the gift was a day ago or 14 pages of this thread ago. It was a Brickhead and some other small thing.

Well someone a few comments previous said Star Wars Buildable rather than Brickhead so I think there is still some debate about what it could be. Plus the addition of all 150 only being available in China vs Worldwide. Either way, people are going to be pissed!

TLG need to entice Chinese buyers to stay competitive vs the bogus bricks :drag: If that flyer is correct, the UCS MF is going to cost about US$ 1300 over there
