People do it all the time. Sold a Derek Carr rookie card for $300 last week.

The only part of that sentence I understand is sold for 300$ last week.

All this selling of the item on eBay makes me sad.

Makes me very happy. Nice to see there is still some money to be made in this game. Perhaps the site should be rebranded qfll-icker.

I know it's likely too early in the game to project overall success for 75192, but to me, the silver lining in this debacle is that TLG is getting a very clear message that there is extensive support for sets of this size and grandeur.

I hope they also got the message that they would sell even more sets and have happier fans if they had an online sales and distribution system that did its job properly.

That sounds more like a NSFW site.

I've been to that store in D.C. before.

Yep, that's my closest store. Pretty cool staff. The manager that was opening the doors is very friendly and nice to talk to.  I could've told them that the mall opens at 5 for walkers.

They will have stock. They will have allocated a certain amount for VIP release and separate stock for 1st Oct. Which is why they only kept the back order opportunity very short, they don't want to eat into Oct allocation.  It's whether the site has the same issues again.

The only release where VIP sales knocked out stock for standard release date was the Porsche and that was problems with the packaging requiring a recall than actual stock planning for release date.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. LEGO Fan Websites have been reporting that the Customer service was recently updated. Apparently LEGO issued a statement saying that the set may or may not be on sale again until after October 1st. I guess it depends on how many they can produce in the next two weeks.

Anyone with a banned vip account use their vip card to buy the falcon in store? Wonder if they will upgrade banned shop at home members...ironically those are the true "elite" members

The codes could then be used online and take you to a separate site from the regular Millennium Falcon Page and allow you to pick up one a lot easier after waiting in line for who knows how long.

LEGO can barely run one site and you want them to try a 2nd??

Depends on the supply. If there was very low quantities available it still sells out even if people are not interested.

I'd say it will be a while before this set is even profitable for the company.

elaborate.
They will upgrade everyone who purchased the set.

AFAIK there is no such thing as banned cards, suspended account equals banned cards.
