  1. 1. When will you buy your first 75192 UCS Falcon?

    • First day VIP early access purchase.
    • 2x VIP promo in October 2017.
    • Wait for discount of between 10%-19%.
    • Wait for discount between 20%-29%.
    • Wait for discount of at least 30%.
    • Wait until it shows solid signs of retiring.
    • No plans to buy this set.

What a mess this morning. At first I couldn't figure out WHEN they were going to have the North America promotion bc it said "coming soon October 1st" all the way up to 0730 CST whereas it looks like the U.K. page had it written there well in advance. I checked back at 740 and was surprised to see that it said "now available" and clicked add to bag only to be placed in this endless cycle of it showing in my bag and me getting to billing but not ever able to get to the payment page. It took like an hour and a half and each time the page screwed up it would say call customer service but it looks like they complete shut that down bc every time I called I would get an immediate busy signal, no ring.

Suprising I eventually got to put my order through while I was driving to work and got the email notification and CC charge, so I think I'm ok.

they could have definitely managed that better.

Right.  Honestly, unless you had a picture taken with the designer, signature and proof of purchase, any set being sold promoting this special event has to be questioned.  I really have no idea of what value this would add to the set, but if any of these new Falcon are worth anything, it would be those 100 sold at the Leicaster store.

I was there and you were given a unique card indicating which number you were out of 150, worth the first 100 getting the special VIP card. The card with unique queue number was stapled to the receipt and stamped, the designers would only sign the set with a number if you showed your card. It was actually quite well organised in that respect. So if you kept your card and other evidence you are fine.

My store had 20 and I ended up being 24th in line.... oh well, I only waited for 15 min.

That must have been Guildford.

You can only return online orders in store up to $199 I believe? There is definitely a cap.

Correct: Returns in store from online purchases or without receipt up to $200.  Online returns over $200 within 90 days (per the back of receipt in hand)

As chat with Lego CS is not operational yet I'll risk my chances with you guys. Does anyone knows what's the policy for cancelling out an order made online? My problem is I'm fearing that the shipping time for my backordered MF would not match my time window within the US... So, If I enter my last week in the US without the order being shipped I'd have to cancel it. Would that work?

You can always cancel an order that is on backorder by calling in. Now i'm not sure how it works if they've sent out some of the freebies already, i think they eat the loss, but i'm not sure.

I'll admit I was expecting some pissed off rant.  They were all pretty cool.

i like how they mocked their friend's ( AFOL) excitement about this set and asked if the $150 MF is the one he's looking for).

best quote of the video was when one of the friends commented why people were standing outside the door for nothing (despite the sold-out sign) before the store opened.
