  1. 1. When will you buy your first 75192 UCS Falcon?

    • First day VIP early access purchase.
    • 2x VIP promo in October 2017.
    • Wait for discount of between 10%-19%.
    • Wait for discount between 20%-29%.
    • Wait for discount of at least 30%.
    • Wait until it shows solid signs of retiring.
    • No plans to buy this set.

Do you think with the change from 5/per to 2/per on LEGO Shop at Home that we will still see day1 VIP sellout?

Yes. I would still expect sell out with 1/per. I don't think this situation (repeated quick sellouts after restocks) will sustain through the entire holiday season, but it is possible.

Regional Brand Manager will be tomorrow in Leicester Square.
I will address few questions related to the pricing rumours in UK for 2018 due continuous GBP/DKK plummeting trend.

And any juice on retirements or a new modular please!

Good to see Lego have managed to undercut Apple´s Iphone X with the Falcon - almost seems good value now.

I'd really like to know about these VIP card perks and promos that have been mentioned.  I'm guessing they don't know will just dig up some Admiral "whatshisname" polybags and send them out.

look at the calendar coupons for this year and you will have answer.

I was told 8:30 AM EST, They open at 8, but they want to wait to 8:30 before the chaos begins. 12am is out as no one will be there to take calls and if there site crashes, this way they will be ready at 8:30.

I keep getting told 8am EST online release on the 14th by lego chat and via email.  However, 12am seems more logical from historical perspective.  Anyone else hearing this?

I'll make sure to log in around midnight EST just to be sure...

This shows a certain amount of confidence and chutzpah that leaves me possibly feeling begrudgingly impressed.

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/tag/d/lego-millennium-falcon-ucs/6303662490.html

Essentially they are getting paid $90 to line up for a couple hours (I'm guessing). Not a bad gig for some - but I suspect he/she can sell higher over the first few days.

Aside from the price, there's nothing to indicate that this won't have the same shortages that the other broad-appeal sets have had (NASA, Disney Castle, Porsche, etc.)

But yeah the price is the wildcard. Easy to talk a big game but harder to actually hand over 4 figures in cash for pieces of plastic that pretty much sit there collecting dust and looking pretty.... decisions decisions...

Yea, asking $1050CAD for a set that will cost a total $1008 ($900 + 12% GST/PST ).

$42 cash profit + $45 worth of VIP Points + Black VIP card + Ninjango poly....

Are people really that desperate? There must be something else at play here.

I saw three 75192's sell out the door for $800 bucks on EBAY with free shipping....

it boggles the mind really....

my first thought is ?Are they really that bad at math?

my second thought is ?If they are that dumb at math they may not care if the plan is to skip town with $2400

my third thought is?What a great way to convert saved vip points into cash!!!ASAP ???

I agree, that it may be quick to jump the gun and question the maths and sanity of these people.  Even for RRP, they can still make a quick profit with minimal effort.  As you said, they may have already amassed a good chunk of VIP points. They'll also amass some VIP points for the remainder of the balance.  There's potentially also cash back and also points on the credit card.  It all adds up.  Shipping is also free, since they will just tell Lego where to ship and eBay always has special offers such as FVF offers.  Since Lego is shipping it, any problems then Lego would be responsible.
