  1. 1. When will you buy your first 75192 UCS Falcon?

    • First day VIP early access purchase.
    • 2x VIP promo in October 2017.
    • Wait for discount of between 10%-19%.
    • Wait for discount between 20%-29%.
    • Wait for discount of at least 30%.
    • Wait until it shows solid signs of retiring.
    • No plans to buy this set.

one of my local stores is only getting 10-15 on day 1 (wouldn't give the #).    the mgr already said demand exceeds supply for that day and recommended arriving to the location by 7am for the 10am opening.  yeah, i'm not doing that.

i was also told 20,000 special MF VIP cards will being made and weekly supply for the set should meet demand.  it shouldn't be another Apollo debacle.

I’ve seen the designer video and all the pics online but that didn’t prepare me for the experience I was going to have when I went to the Lego store in San Francisco today. OMG, it’s absolutely amazing in person. I’ve seen a built 10179 once, but that was three years ago. If 75192 is the same size as 10179, then I’ve forgotten how big 10179 was. I’ve gotten the green light from the wifey a couple of weeks ago and was planning on getting it during double VIP or later. I’m in no rush to get it. Now I’m leaning towards VIP online purchase on the 14th. I don’t want to deal with waking up early and waiting in line. The employee there said they’re only getting four for the VIP release and doesn’t expect any more until 10/1.

Well, just adding to "I heard rumors "...

Two separate online customer service reps confirmed the limit will NOT be 5 (the default # given on the website, and correct most of the time).

They both said the online limit will be 3.

ALL of the 10 stores I called (southeast) said they anticipate getting less than 10. They also said it will be a limit of 1 per customer. They said it was the managers discretion, based on supply and demand. I turned around and called customer service and they confirmed that # sold to each customer was managers decision and not corporate/ company wide rule.

At the end of the day, who knows how many people are going to "camp out", if any, and how early they might show up.

It's sad, but I also anticipate recent hurricanes and current Irma will effect the people on the fence about buying. It may also effect delivery to stores.

We'll see....

cheers!

I think with all the time spent, some of these first day buyers will have an extra $800 in time spent on logistics.

Saw this post on FB regarding the London event:

LEGO i am flying to London from Denmark to get one of the sets, and i bought an extra seat in the airplane back home for my set. But i am quite curious on the dimension of the carton box, can you give some information on that, and what is the weight?
And how will the que system work, because i will already be there around 12.00 on wedensday and would like to tourist around in London, but i wont if i am gonna lose my spot in the que.

I would say the average limit is between $5000-$10000. Some go much, much higher. I have a few credit cards that have limits in excess of $25000.

IMO credit limits are irrelevant if you haven't got the cash to pay up when the bill comes. I would love to buy this set on day 1, but it will probably take me until EOL to fund my purchase. To all you guys getting in there first, enjoy!

I wonder if that´s the Lego designer who will be signing the sets. Times must be hard if he has to pay for his own copy.
