Alpinemaps Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Reliable source on EB reports a new theme for 2018 with 5 sets to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Lego brick. Interesting. Let the speculation begin. I'm guessing rereleases of classic sets but updated a bit. So maybe one Classic Space, a Classic Town, a Classic Castle, etc. 3 Quote
Salimr Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I hope they bring back some of the old classic space sets or something similar Quote

Regardless, it would be great to see Lego do another even if it meant utilizing existing Lego train tech. I suspect it will be a re-release similar to the Legends series. Very true...Classic space was before my childhood so I have a tendency to lump all vintage space themes in as classic space, because we haven't had a truly awesome space theme in decades. Quote
jimmajenga Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 First Modular - Cafe Corner!! (Even though it's only 10 years old..) That would certainly make my day!! Black seas barracuda 3.0!! Quote
Rodeogeorge Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 1978 was a banner year for space and castle. 1 Quote
HandyHand Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Interesting that we are now going to kind of relive the same sentiments that people had ten years ago around the 50th Anniversary of LEGO: https://gizmodo.com/349509/lego-brick-timeline-50-years-of-building-frenzy-and-curiosities and: https://gizmodo.com/349929/best-lego-sets-in-history Those are of course by now nearly 10 years old and lack all the awesome sets that have been released since the 50th Anniversary happened Quote

Martae54 Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I took this set to show and tell in the 4th grade. It was a big hit.... yea I'm old. "Show and tell" is now a crime in most states. Oh have times have changed. 2 1 Quote
