So, in no way is TLJ a rehash of Empire Strikes Back then. That´s good to know.

Of course not, the battle for Hoth Crait takes place in the end of the movie.  How do I know for sure?  Because the MF is driving through a space slug crystal cavern and breaks through the planet crust to join the fight top side.   And seriously Crait is a snow planet?  The ski set has "snow troopers" in it.  *facepalm*

At least Rey didn't go to visit Yoda Luke on Degobah Ahch-to to train as a Jedi or have to go into some cave to struggle with some unknown Jedi temptation thing.

Well, at least the casino night scene should be new.  I wonder if they allow droids in there?

The battle on Crait might not be a snow planet scene but taking place on a salt-lake kind of plane ?

Odd to include "Snow Troopers" in the LEGO Ski ship set if Crait is NOT a snow planet / scene/ setting.  Is this another major miss by LEGO like Kylo Ren's Shuttle (non-swing wings)?  On Kylo Ren's Shuttle, I'm sure they were told it had folding wings and the way LEGO interpreted those words was completely wrong.  But they're including snow troopers on what I thought was a salt lake or dessert setting.  I guess we'll all find out in a few weeks.  I just really hope VIII doesn't parallel Empire or any of the previous movies.

First Order Walker Driver.

I'm still trying to figure out the FO Snowtroopers being deployed on a salt planet?

I am convinced its snow as otherwhise Disney/ Lucas would have salt troopers, which would be grey blocks with studs on top with an arrow trending downwards before collapsing and would say 2008 was the golden age.

According to http://uproxx.com/hitfix/star-wars-last-jedi-crait/2/ Crait is a salt planet:

If you’re not sure what Crait is, you’re not alone. The name was exclusively revealed to Entertainment Weekly by director Rian Johnson. But we’ve all seen the planet. Think back to the trailer that was released at Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017. In one sequence, a line of Resistance ships speed across a salt flat, kicking up blood red dust in their wake as they head into battle against distant First Order variations of AT-ATs. That desert is on Crait.

Just because LEGO didn't get the memo about Crait being a salt planet, and assuming: white = snow, so the FO troopers must be Snowtroopers, doesn't suddenly turn Crait into a snow planet. :P

Salt planet, you say. With salt foxes, running across a frozen and reflective landscape, and a fine dusting of salt on the mountains. And that white fluffy salt gently falling from the sky.

BTW, The Last Jedi is totally not a remake of The Empire Strikes Back.

Pretty sure Antarctica is technically a desert as well, so nice try Star Wars.  It's Hoth without the blizzard and the Wampa turned into a fox.

That said, I am stoked to go to this Saturday morning.

75201 - First Order AT-ST

FOATST.jpg

As i understand from description before pics came out this is a half built AT-ST  that is relevant to a film scene somehow.  As such i don't think it will affect 75153 too much

So we go from half-assed remakes to half-built ones. Maybe the next City helicopter will be missing a skid or something.

No, Lego is just developing children to be engineers. It will most likely be missing half the helicopter.

How long will this corner-cutting last? Star Wars sets are even extortionate at 50% off ;-) I wonder how much the Disney Tax is?

That gave me an idea. When can we have our first Star Wars helicopter? That would be so over the top for LEGO.
