Not even a single horse included? Other than that, it seems near-perfect and still can help 10196 avoid taking a complete nose dive. They expect you to mod it. 2 Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 LEGO should sell optional add-on pack with sound bricks, power function, and a couple of horses for $50. Boom more Quote
c_rpg Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I like it. This set really shows how much Lego has evolved over the last years. Just looking at the picture there are a ton of pieces that didn't exist ten years ago. I still think 10196 is a better looking set, but this one certainly is an interesting build. I'm glad they didn't just do the 'ol cheese slope "update". The only thing I don't like are some of the brick built animals. The orange and green things (dog and frog?) look out of place to me. Quote

Ah, maybe it's just the low res image I wonder if they are ever going to do the flying chairs ride as a set. I think I remember a video where someone showed it as a MOC, possibly Jamie Berrard. Quote
Alpinemaps Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Love it. Love the piece count. It'll be tough not to place this at the top of my list for items to purchase. 2 Quote

I think that they will. There was one in the background of the fairground set (and on this one) which is sometimes a hint - I wouldn't mind a looping roller coaster. dcdfan Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 The word "Fairground" isn't on the box. Can the title of the thread be changed? 1 Quote

They used the same background for Ferris Wheel (including the roller coaster). Quote
mauro23 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Why does the swan have no holder, during all other animals have??? Quote

CM4Sci Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I don't think it's press release time yet but thanks for the images! This looks so cool! Quote
Alpinemaps Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 l I think I will need to consider changing things a bit to make a Star Wars Carousel (maybe incorporate some Microfighters sets).I considered doing that when I started BL'ing 10196. I considered making a pretty cool SW themed GC. So much so that I grabbed a couple of carousel organ music versions of Star Wars themes. I figured I would throw them into an iPod Nano, and brick up a spot to hide that and a small speaker. I'll probably do the same for 10257 but with regular carousel music. 4 Quote
exciter1 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Lots of gold reflective stickers there in the center part and on the 2x2 round tiles on the top, not Maersk level, but they are there. Quote
Kevink24 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I'm really liking this set. I'm also intrigued to see what people come up with for MOC's to replace some of the animals, or use the SW micro builds or even making use of some of the Lego Dimension builds...Finally a use for all of those $1 Dimension sales! 1 Quote
Shewie Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Day 1 Purchase, beautiful set... but this part of presentation broke my heart. One does not simple, centre alignment. 6 Quote

gbg108 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I love it. Like someone else said, if there's a good promo with it it'll be a day one purchase for me. Although it might be smaller in scale than 10196, I think it looks better. But given 8 years of R&D and all the new pieces to work with, it should. Well done LEGO! Quote
jkris53406 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Love the video. This is a spectacular addition to the theme Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Designer video. Surprisingly no graphic designer in the video 6 Quote
asharerin Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Glad we sold our 10196 last summer along with our last 10179. Unfortunately Lego collectible prices are falling so these remakes while not identical do impact prices on the once holy grail sets. We still have Taj and Eiifel Tower.....for now. Quote
Val-E Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Mike got a major haircut since Vacation Getaway or maybe they did this video a long time ago. Quote
