Yes. When they pack it & place the air pillows in & it clearly doesn't fit, they then push down the box, damaging the item as they close it. Seal it & send it on its way. It's happened more than once to me.

I've never had that happen to me. I guess I've been lucky.

Maybe, maybe not. Like I said, more often than not mine arrive with very little padding. So, we'll see what happens tomorrow and beyond.

Is really cool, but I still believe...

Looks like your 10179 auction is doing well so a bird in hand is better than two rockets in the bushes!

Is Shewie the English man who buys all my Star Wars sets??? ;-)

But I am pretty astonished about 10179, I have hoped for around 2000... (530 observer, half from BrickPicker)

Shewie wins the auction, pretty sure...

We can move this to the 10179 thread but what is your anti-scammer strategy? 3k euros plus is a lot of money in one transaction via paypal.

Then simply close your PayPal account...

you can't with negative balance.

owner claimed Unauthorised Activity and my money are gone.

so if someone will ever ask me whether "Fruitcakes are running rampant"? my answer will be simple.

Hang on a minute - unauthorised activity means they say their account got hacked. If you sent the good to the right address and you have proof of delivery then Paypal should cover you with seller protection.
