Is it now or was the Arctic Icebreaker  ever $104 before coupons or THUTH tactics? If it was I missed the post. I can see it being $104 after TRUTH with a starting point of $130.

I didn't see it mentioned either, but with 20% off coupon and TRUTH it'd be ~$94.  20% off $130 = $104 - 10% = $93.40.  So I guess it was on sale.  Shame I didn't know, I'd have gotten a few for sure...

I've read a little about the TRU credit card, outside of Lego investing, and the general opinion there seems to be "not worth it", "too much hassle", "pretty bad service", "better only use for a few, larger purchases, and always pay immediately", and so on. What are your experiences? How much more work than "your usual credit card" is this one? Like - can you pay it off simply on-line? Did you ever had to deal with customer service, and how did that go? Thanks.

TRU is a pain, period. The CC is the least of your worries if you pay off the balance every month (online is easy) and learn to deal with coupons / cashiers.... Which you better be doing anyway if you buy Lego at TRU. Only time I had to deal with CS was when my old card became invalid long before expiration and the new one sitting in my mailbox turned out to be active before I ever opened it. No sweat, just weirdness.

If you like an extra 10% off (plus rewards) and can pay your bills, get the CC and shop on Thursdays. But don't plan on ever returning anything at TRU ( or anywhere, see JP thread, but especially not at TRU.)

Do we have a coupon someone can post for January?

I'm guessing Pseudoty has one he'll make up and post.  I'm hoping he gets it up today as I'm wanting to go check out what a couple of my TRU stores have and feel naked walking in without some from of coupon with me.

I'm having TRU coupon withdrawal.  There's a few things I'd like to grab, but just can't bring myself to do it without coupons.

Me too, although my wallet can surely use a break. I did stop into a TRU yesterday to look at some of the new sets. I caressed the boxes of the new SW troop packs and thought to myself... perfect for $5 off $25 plus 10% TRUTH. After a moment of hesitation, I sadly placed the two sets back onto the shelf and walked out. One day you will be mine. One day...

I did the same.  The buildable Kylor Renn and Captain Phasma at 24.99 would be perfect as well.  I'm working on finding something...

I think I saw somebody recently said that their store wouldn't because there wasn't a B&M store nearby and wasn't a "competitor."

Weak excuse, because the link provided by Legopocalypse specifies LEGO.com and not LEGO B&M locations.  It seems universal that TRU CS claims that they don't PM LEGO until you show them the proof in print.

There's a similar discussion in another thread about Walmart not price matching in-store. Just depends on what policies the staff decides to pick and choose to follow.

If they give you a hard time, then head over to Target. My TRU is pretty good about price matching. Target has been really good about it as well.

Grabbed this one off ebay. Says it's good at both TRU & BRU. Not sure why toys would be excluded at TRU, but still.

Anyone want to try it? It's a 20%/15%.

Added bar code. If it works BA can put his magic on it.

I tried this one last Saturday.  It wouldn't work.  A couple of notes;  I tried to use it on 4 75105 MF that were price marked wrong at $94.99.  The cashier was sure to hit 'price adjust' and not 'price match', but the coupon still would not work.  I plan on going Thursday.  I'll grab a set that is new and full price and have them try it for me.  But I don't think it will work.

TRUST = Saturday (+10% off)

TRUTH = Thursday (+10% off)

I've got a quick question guys. I made about $300 in purchases on the last Saturday before Christmas on my TRU card (various toys not all lego), but I don't see 10% off reflected anywhere on my statement or online, for any of the purchases. How does this get credited? Thanks.

Did you purchase online or in-store? The 10% only works in-store.

If it isn't on your receipt , then cashier didn't hit the function on the register and it won't show anywhere . Always make sure to remind them that you are using your cc to get the discount . U can try going back for an adjustment .
