one can get Trevi Fountain under $34 without tax on TRUTH/TRUST. TRU.com has it at 46.99 so PRICE ADJUST+ 20% + 10% + hulk poly. $35.85 out the door for me.

I don't think most TRUs will price adjust, only price match, which negates coupons and TRUTH.  I say most, but maybe it's just been my experience.

i specifically asked for an adjustment, not a match, as its listed on their website and not the competitors and they did me right. no manager override needed. YMMV of course

MIne did.  You still have to be over 100 dollars after the 20 percent off gets applied.

didnt work for me on 2 IRs, which were over twice that before tax. they said the POS will not allow it due to other coupons (20%, 15%) already scanned. i tried 10/100 first at another store and same thing happened

Not to split hairs, as it probably should go to the Ethics thread - but matching TRU.com stil counts as a price MATCH.

Some cashiers may do Price Adjustment, but they are actually incorrect in doing so. Price Adjustment is something that is supposed to happen after point of sale, (after coupons have been applied, yadda yadda). Eg: You buy $100 set, apply coupon and TRUTH - and it comes down to $75. You see an advertisement for said set for $70. You can come in and get it ADJUSTED down to $70, getting a refund of $5. With the TRU website, in this example - if you buy something at $140, use a coupon and TRUTH and it comes down to $110, and see it on the website for $115, price adjusting won't do you any good as you are still up $5. You can ask for a Price Match before hand, but coupons will no longer work.

Just want people to be aware of what they are doing when they do it. If you are asking for a price that's on TRU.com, it's still a Price Match, and theoretically coupons and whatnot should not apply. Using the Price Adjustment is a loophole as Exciter mentioned, not everyone will do. So if you want to toe the line, at least be aware you are doing so. (Similarly, as most people know - you aren't really "supposed" to stack coupons or even re-use the same coupon.)

Again, not starting a war or casting opinions, just stating how the policy is SUPPOSED to work. Carry on.

yes, stacking and using multiple coupons and discounts on one transaction should also be disallowed, in turn this thread should be disolved, yet everyone here is following the TRUTH Tactics to save the penny and play the POS (as in im smarter than the Point-of-sale) game. To justify morality, if i can order on TRU.com and pick it up at TRU BM where the item comes from the BMs internal inventory, then their prices should match from the get-go. one should not have to ask for the price adjustment and split hairs as you put it. i am not asking to match their competitor and then apply discounts.

I always thought price adjustment was for something along the line of the shelf tag shows $25 but POS scans $40.  They need a way to ADJUST the price on POS to what the tag shows.  This is per the law in some states.

and their virtual shelf is TRU.com as far as im concerned.

Only if you also ask for adjustment when the online price is higher then the store price ;)

im happy pulling sets from whichever shelf is less expensive like any other logically thinking person would. all im saying is that the prices should match.

yesterday i saw two different tags for bennys SSS, one for 109.99 and the other for 87.98 split between two shelves, by your logic i should ask them to charge me more?

 Err, look up a few posts or down for my position on shelf tag...  I am not sure there is a law regarding "virtual" shelf tags that I know of :dontknow:

i could never get the 10/100 to stack with 20% or 15% coupon, tried different TRUs and different scan combos to no avail. did yours stack without override?

This is the new 12/6/15  $10 off $100 so this was the first TRUTH I could try it.  No override needed.  Scan rewards scan ISD $139.99 scan Hulk Poly scan 20% off 1 item, scan $10 off $100 Cost $90.79 partial pay CC Use 15% off GC no issues.

Exact same thing yesterday except:

IR 144.99 instead of ISD

Hulk poly after coupons.

Only  1 coupon worked.

This has been true for me at 5+ stores since October.

Back in September October I remembered I can apply 20% and 15% and $5 off $25 in 1 transaction. But had to get 3 items.

But the recent $5 of $25 won't stack with 15%/20% and other $xx off $xx won't stack either.

I think the POS Fixed the hole?

I was able to use the $5 off and 20% in one transaction on a hydra smash and a microfighter in one transaction but not the three microfighters in another.

Does anyone know if the 15% coupon for opening a credit card account can be used more than once on the same day?

Should be. It'll print on a piece of receipt paper. As long as the cashier doesn't take it from you after using it you can use it multiple times.

You can just print these coupons correct?

I have them scan from my phone. I'm not sure how printing would appear as some info would be missing. But it is TRU so who knows. All I know is they act like I'm robbing them sometimes, even with the hard physical coupons they send...

Crazy as it sounds, I don't have a smart phone :)
