TRUTH Tactics : and now the end is here

Trying to figure out my methods of getting the best deal on Black Friday. I might be interested in the agents boat and maybe coast guard boat too. Will the 15%off and $5 off $25 coupons work on BF price? Will they stack with each other on one set? I also have  a 15% off entire purchase from opening the TRU cc a while ago that will expire in December sometime. I've been saving it, waiting to see what deals there are this Friday, but I'm not sure the rules for it. Will it stack with those other coupons? Thanks in advance for any help!

It's in the first post.

It shows an 11/25 expiration but really expires on 12/31.

So I'll be "that guy and bite" and ask for hand holding - The 15% coupon *I* used doesn't stack with TRUTH as both recquire the CC.

So in the receipt above - I know where the $5 off $25 comes from, and I ASSUME the 15% off is the 15% off one posted above with CC that expires on the 28th.

What is the additional "instant savings 10% off"?

To tell the truth I'm not 100% sure. I went back for a second round and got two more sets and I did not get the 10% "instant savings" which I assumed was TRUTH. Same cashier too. The only difference I noticed was she scanned my rewards card first, and then the item, and then coupons on the items that got the 10%. The second round, she scanned the item, then rewards, and then item and coupons.

Additional 10% is using the TRU Cc on Thursdays. But for some reason it's not working today. I bought the coast Guard in one cashier and the ultra agent ship in another cashier, both didn't show the 10% that I'm suppose to get today since it's Thursday...

Did you guys ask? The cashier has to hit a special button. Just swiping the card doesn't give you the discount. Lots of seasonal employees that are new and poorly trained, so you have to remind them how to correctly use the register.

Yeah the first time I explicitly said I was using my TRU CC. Second time I didn't but assumed the girl knew I was. Guess I was wrong.

TRU usually puts sale, clearance, and Hot buys as $X.98 or $X.97  don't know why or when this changed but Benny's was on sale for $59.99. The 15% off coupon is not expired and sale items are not excluded. The coupon works like and instead of the 10% off TRUTH and Sat. So you must use your TRU CC at least for partial pay and the cashier must select the prompt for CC as form of payment once it is scanned not at the end of the transaction. So just have them scan it then ask them nicely to tap the CC prompt on the screen before moving on.

What should the steps be?

1. scan item
2. scan TRU CC (rewards #)
3. scan 15%
4. scan $5 off $25
5. swipe CC
6. hit partial pay, pay $1.00
7. scan giftcard
8. ask cashier to hit the CC prompt button?

Pretty bummed I didn't get the 10% extra + 8% rewards on the coast guard and Ultra Agent ship and if I return it I probably won't get the BF price anymore...

The first, 4th, and 7th step is to inform your cashier that you are using your TRU CC and they need to hit the 'magic' button.

No, they have to hit the CC button before you swipe.  After you swipe, it's too late.

Thanks so much guys, I'll have to remember this next time. The cashier was the first day on his job and took me 30 mins from start to finish to get everything done. He didn't know what he was doing...and then the manager came over and told me they longer does this method...what a load of crap.

Take your receipts in within a week and they can adjust it for you at the service desk. They should be able to credit your card.  I know it's a hassle, but most folks are in there more than once a week anyway.
