It actually said that you were indentified as a reseller ? :(

pasted the exact pop up window below.  Like I said I personally don't buy much from them at all which the odd part.

What I spent last 4 months under this account.

Oct $1692

Sept $410

Aug $557

July $810

so probably if you do have big amounts built up not wise to do so as it does wipe out everything.

logged into TRU rewards to check if I had any rewards and got the "You have been identified as a reseller" pop up window.

All balances 0'd out

kind of funny as I hardly go there.  Last order placed online was 6 months ago for Gallimimus traps.   Don't truth, don't stack coupons or anything.  Just shows you how random there systems are.

Guess me and Geoffrey aren't friends anymore

I got an email that I was identified as a reseller. I'm 100% positive it was from GT orders.

I did 1 order of 100 on this account back in July.  I did the 800 on a friends account.  500 , 200 and 100.

only thing I can think is Oct I travel a lot and hit Bricktobers from Nashville to FL.  Have like 10 or 12 different stores on there.  Maybe that is a flag, who knows.

Isn't it possible they use reports from individual shop managers, as well, on suspected resellers which would then trigger account history reviews? I would imagine that would make sense.

could be, but with purchases that low not sure what one would be reselling.  Think it would be more automated though of something that sets it off.  If they look back to last year then I could understand as easily spent 15-20k last Oct.  Just have different sources now and don't use them much anymore.  Plus one of the 2 good ones closed here leaving the crappier one so that is another reason for decline in purchases from them.

The account they sent the email to was under a year old. The larger orders were on an older account that hasn't been banned.

The account that's not banned is also the account with the multiple TRU coupons in stores.

BTW, I can not wait till this quote mess is fixed!

at least two have already gone out of business in atlanta area within the last year.

I'm giving you a like because I really don't see how all these stores are staying in business... I've got three within reasonable driving distance (4th 2 hours away) and at least one of them is always dead. Doesn't make sense.... these aren't Starbucks where you have a teenie space and you can catch the casual "shopper."

Thanks for the heads up. I just used $800 reward that I was saving to buy the iPad pro.

But now I still have around $3000 worth of point waiting for generate the reward.

I used my tru credit card with my membership.

And I haven't receive the pop up message yet (touch wood).

Try to figure out how tru ban people.

I spend around $10k per month using tru card. For the last 3 month.

I think since Synchrony took over the Rewards program in September they are the ones behind this not TRU. Has anyone gotten banned that wasn't using their TRU CC? Also , rumor has it you should keep you rewards balance below 50,000 points.

Banned from Rewards, no CC on that account or name.

I would guess it is only affecting non-credit card users.  I'm an analyst for a major credit card issuer (not Synchrony) and I am almost certain they can't ban you from using your rewards earned from credit card purchases.  The amount of red tape those two companies would have to go through to kill someone's reward points would be amazing.  One call from that customer to the CFPB could make Synchrony liable for gigantic fines, whether it is hidden in a credit card disclosure or not.  I can;t imagine it.

ravenb99,

do you have TRU credit card?

I can confirm this assumption. I got the ban from my original non-cc email, got an email talking about their policy and how rewards are for consumers and then saying my account is deactivated. I logged in and I got the same pop-up posted above. I later applied for the TRU Mastercard and a few purchases later, same email. But this time, when I log in, no pop up. Rewards are still being tacked on and operating as normal. It has been a month now.
