TRUTH Tactics : and now the end is here

Some cashiers are trained to ask up front, "Are you paying with any Rewards today?"  ... but most will forget to ask.  As I have learned in this very thread... have cashier scan the  rewards number on the back of your credit card, tell her you're paying with your Rewards MasterCard, scan / enter all coupons and get a total to pay. Know in your head about what that total should be, to make sure all the coupons "worked".  Swipe your credit card, select "partial pay", pay up to the exact value of your Rewards certificate in your pocket. Then act a little ditsy, and say... "OMG... I almost forgot... can I pay the balance with this?"  The cashier will see that there is exactly $50 due... will look at your rewards certificate with a big $50 on it... and say "Sure you can!".

found limited JW sets at one of TRUs today. literally they were stacking them on the shelves when i grabbed the only 2 IRs. used 15%/20% on each and stacked with TRUTH. 15off100 would not work on top of that. im wondering if one were add a third small item if it would go through since the first two coupons are per item. anyone brave enough?

SO what is the best combo with the current coupons? Is it 20% + 5 off $25 + 10% truth?

20% + 10% off one item.  If you get two items totalling $100+, you can use 20/15/10.  20% off the first item, 15% off the second, 10% off entire purchase, +5 giftcard over $75, $10 GC over $100,  +Ninjango polybag for non-star wars legos, c3po polybag for star wars legos (unless you can talk your clerk into giving you the c3po regardless of what legos you're buying.  I believe the threshold for the polys is $30.

So do the giftcard coupons stack with the 20% + 10% off one item as well?

Also, does anyone know if the the Lego Dimensions 50% off promo is also valid for the free Ninjago poly?

And as a note, with any Star Wars purchase of $40 or more, you can get both the C3PO and the Ninjago poly free.

In my experience earlier this week, the cashier scanned both the 20% coupon and a free GC coupon and they would not stack.

This is almost certainly YMMV, but I was only able to obtain the C3PO poly with my STAR WARS purchase of over $40, not both polybags. I asked for both, but they said I could have only one....

Definitely YMMV, each store will have their own policy.  Heck, each cashier will have their own policy this time of year.

Rgr that guys. If you can get them to SCAN both without asking, the system definitely will give both free. ;) Obviously some stores are more stingy. I think one of the promos is only good til tomorrow anyway, so. Won't matter for long.

BTW - I used a 20% of a Battle for Ninjago City (clearance item) - Unsure if the 20% will work on ALL clearance. But worth checking out - my TRU doesn't have a lot of great stuff on Clearance, but I have been eyeing the Lord Business' Evil Lairs.

logged into TRU rewards to check if I had any rewards and got the "You have been identified as a reseller" pop up window.

All balances 0'd out

kind of funny as I hardly go there.  Last order placed online was 6 months ago for Gallimimus traps.   Don't truth, don't stack coupons or anything.  Just shows you how random there systems are.

Guess me and Geoffrey aren't friends anymore

They must be singling out customers that have huge amounts of Rewards in their accounts. I'm thinking that if you have several hundred dollars in your account, that will raise a flag. Weird. On numerous occasions, I've seen resellers stock up on video games and Skylanders at my local store using stacks of gift cards, reseller's license and TRUTH. Sometimes, I'll see the manager's even ringing up the transactions for them.

Hi Guys

Quick question, TRU price match but would they price match Amazon or Walmart online pricing?  If so could I then do the 10 TRUTH and 20% Coupon after the price match?   Want to get a Imperial Hotel , Amazon have it just over $100 but TRU instore about $126 if I recall correctly.

By policy, price matching negates all coupons/promotions. As with everything TRU, YMMV.
