pcaster
I think they are just trying to confuse us now. Yesterday I bought 2 WALL-E. The first got the 20%, $5, and 10%. The second got the 15% and $5, but NO 10%?!? Bricktober wasn't a factor as the cashier forgot to ring it up during the transaction.

I think everything else is fair game at the moment. Edited October 16, 2015 by exciter1

joch29
wouldn't u have to be real lucky for the cashier to scan both a 20% and a 15% mobile coupon on 1 item?

Doesn't something pop up on their register prompting them coupon invalid? I thought it did.

I think that's what they're depending upon. The register won't take it if it's not supposed to.

Grynn
Anyone care to post a recent receipt showing more than 3 discounts one any item WITHOUT override of any kind? Today I got 2 Wall-E, and offered up the following coupons: 20% (TRU 0758)15% (BRU 1391)15% (TRU 6662)10% (TRU 6661)$5 (TRU 0772) The results?1. LEGO WALL-E 45.77 T1 673419243759 12.00 SAVINGS 20% OFF ITEM 2.22 SAVINGS $5 OFF $25 14.22 TOTAL SAVINGS | REG. PRICE 59.99 2. LEGO WALL-E 51.49 T1 673419243759 2.78 SAVINGS $5 OFF $25 5.72 SAVINGS 10% OFF ITEM 8.50 TOTAL SAVINGS | REG. PRICE 59.99 A couple days ago I grabbed a Shuttle Tydirium, using the same coupons except the 10%: 1. LEGO BRICKTOBER 0.00 T1 673419232142 19.99 SAVINGS BRICKTOBER PROMO QUALIFYING ITEM $5 OFF $25 19.99 TOTAL SAVINGS | REG. PRICE 19.99 2. SW IMPERIAL SHTTL TYDIRUM 67.14 T1 673419231336 REFUND PRICE 51.96 21.00 SAVINGS 20% OFF ITEM QUALIFYING ITEM BRICKTOBER PROMO 5.00 SAVINGS $5 OFF $25 11.85 SAVINGS 15% OFF ITEM 37.85 TOTAL SAVINGS | REG. PRICE 104.99 So, no actual TRUTH discount conflict involved here, and some coupons are not being accepted. Also notice on the Shuttle it took $5 off before applying the 15%, though I always make sure coupons are scanned greatest to least. Obviously the system is complicated, but I am going to skip the $5 next time and see what happens. I still don't think the system will take more than 3 discounts per item without an override. Alpinemaps
Decided to stop by my local TRU today, instead of tomorrow, and try the coupons without TRUTH getting in the way. I figured worst case, I've got the 15% off coupons anyway, so that would be better than TRUTH. Here's how it broke down: Bricktober Bakery - $15.99- 20% off coupon Bricktober Train Station - $16.57- $5 off $25 coupon- 10% off military discount 21024 Lourve - $33.80- 20% off coupon- 10% off military discount- $5 off $25 coupon- 15% off coupon Notes: The cashier asked about my military ID card that he saw in my wallet, and added that himself, before scanning any coupons. I told him I had a few coupons, and that I would be paying with my TRU credit card (I didn't want to push it with partial pay with my discounted GC). He said he'd be happy to try scanning anything that I wanted him to give him. So, after punching in the 10% military discount, he scanned in this order: 20% off (0758) 15% off (1391) $5 off $25 w/ TRU CC (0772) 15% off (6662) Someone upthread asked if there's a receipt with four discounts on one item - looks like I hit the achievement on that one. lol I could have brought that Lourve down to $28.73 if I had used my 15% off GC, but like I said, I didn't want to push it. I'm seriously considering going back tomorrow. There are a couple of bigger sets I could score. The nice this is that it's not tied to TRUTH, and the 6662 15% off coupon is good through Saturday.
zskid00
Like Kenxxx posted in the "what did you buy" thread, the TFA C-3PO polybag is now showing up at some TRU stores. I was able to buy enough to qualify for a free Bricktober set and also used the $5 off coupon and 10% TRUTH. Thursday is a great day to find something new! Grynn
20% off (0758)15% off (1391)$5 off $25 w/ TRU CC (0772)15% off (6662)Someone upthread asked if there's a receipt with four discounts on one item - looks like I hit the achievement on that one. lolThanks for posting. What I see is, one of the 15% coupons didn't stick to anything, $5 off and military discount magically didn't apply to first item, and as you said he manually entered the 10% military. With override (which this may or may not be equivalent to, I don't think it helps either side of the debate) more than 4 discounts are certainly possible.Next, please? I'll post later today as well, I have a couple things I want to try. I'm starting to think it's possible, as someone said before, that different stores have different versions of the system and so optimum strategy will depend on knowledge of that. Loghamel
So it's tough deciphering all the different combos. Is there a consensus, or at least a majority opinion, on the order and/or number of coupons to use? I know there are different situations, so a little guidance would be appreciated. Also, is there anyway a mod or the op could add this to the first post? It'd be a great spot for anyone new or that needs a refresh to quickly figure out how to apply these things. This could then be easily edited if a different combo comes up that seems to work better.Situation 1:20 items @ $3.99 Situation 2:1 item @ $501 item at $25 Situation 3:1 item at $100 How would you experts at this stuff go about making those purchases with everything that's available to you. If needed, feel free to give a TRUTH situation vs. all other days for each. TIA everyone.

stackables
A little off topic but when TRU has the Slave 1 in stock online, how much is it? I noticed the Tumbler is retail but the Tie Fighter is not.
Cbenioff
I just had my first instance of the $5 off stacking before the 15% credit card reward. It's possible something changed recently. Not sure if the order matters but I suspect not as long as the 20% is first. Grynn, try the 15% credit card reward with 10% TRUTH. I hypothesize it won't work like the credit card opening 15% discount. The emails/ads even have the same font so makes sense they work similarly. That's the issue not a 3 coupon limit. We've not had more than 3 to try. It may exist. It may not. But it likely doesn't matter right now.

It was retail, The Tumbler is usually $199.99, they had T1 Camper at $119.99 for a bit, and the $99.99 Mini Cooper, and I also bought a Sea Cow from them recently for $249.99. I do believe the Sandcrawler was also $299.99 when they were in-stock.
