Brick_dad
Or go to the employees that you've been successful with previously. Also, when successful, be sure to ask them to put their name on the receipt so when you do the TRU survey you can mention them...Even better suggestion!
baschloinka
I see that TRU.com has dropped the Cantina (75052) to $56.99. I know Price Match disqualifies promotions (no Bricktober, YMMV). Anyone know if it also disqualifies coupons (I assume so) or TRUTH 10%?

cory730
Actually you just have to ask cashier to do price adjustment not price match then coupon works. Did it last week with ISD for 104.99 I guess YMMV but I have done it 3 times at 2 different stores. I did it on Wednesday so I would think 10% truth would make cheaper.
Kenxxx
Found a rack full of 30274 AT-DP polybags. .. buy them all, or pass?
ISO8T0
Prices are all over the place for that set. anywhere from $2.80 to $12. Personally I'd pass on this one now that it's in the wild and no longer a LEGO Shop at Home promo
jay4e
Found a rack full of 30274 AT-DP polybags. .. buy them all, or pass?typically TRU floods the market with these mini sw polys. you can usually find them in stores months, or even years later. all these LEGO Shop at Home promos showing up in bulk at Target and TRU basically kills them. Heck even the Joker Bumper are hitting Target a couple months after TRU. Poly's are become very hard to predict, and recycling is becoming more common. jerryherb
anyone else notice a price change on the bricktober promo on their receipt today? mine showed up as a discount of $15.
Kenxxx
Still $19.99 on the Bricktobers here... so on the AT-DP's, I'm not a poly investor, but those that I like, I'll get maybe 3 to put in my 401K (i.e. save for long term). And I like these, but then I thought, "Let's get 4 so my son can open one" (We missed out on the Lego promo). Then I'm thinking, well... if I get 7, then I can use the $5 off coupon (7 x $3.99 = $28)... bringing my cost down... so I did. I get home and look at my receipt and realize, if I just bought the 3, I'd have paid $10.77 + tax. But instead I talked myself into $20.62 + tax for seven. Saving a few cents each, I end up spending twice as much
I am Niko
Anyone been denied using partial pay to get the 10%? I've done it hundreds of times, but today, the cashier made a big deal about it having to be all on the TRU CC, and had her manager void the transaction. She's not new, but she told me she wasn't going to get fired over it [don't worry, I'm pretty sure the dozens of other employees who have allowed it are still employed]. She did allow the 3 coupons, so I didn't make a big deal over it, other than stating that I've never had a problem with it before. I just ended up putting it all on the TRU CC, and apologized for the inconvenience, even though she was a little rude about it. Guess she wasn't a fan of my hair
baschloinka
My partial pay was no problem. I only used the first coupon (20% with TRU CC) and also got the 10% off.I have been running with the line, "Is it OK if I partial pay? I have some gift cards I'm trying to get rid of." dcdfan
TRU must think I'm the most forgetful person in the world because the times when I use a GC in store (I usually use them online) I always say "Oh, I forgot I had this"...

longshot
Slow and steady wins the race.......... Id rather hit two or three different stores then burn a bridge at any one. Achilles
What are you guys talking about? Grynn
YMMV never fails, but I learned something new today (no doubt news to others but not all):There is a per-item discount limit built into the POS system... it has been explained to me different ways by different people, but it takes a manager override to get past what, for me, today, was a 3-discount limit. It was clear this is the case not just by being told, but the fact that my 10% TRUTH was automatically NOT applied to the most expensive (WALL-E) item, while it WAS applied to the other smaller (bat) sets. First time I have ever seen this... usually because I don't buy small sets to qualify for Bricktober, thus multiple coupons usually get spread among 2-3 larger purchases. (That was my plan today too but they only had 1 lonely robot left.)Anyway, I didn't fight it and was glad for the $4 education, to be honest. Then I went to another store and got a M. Falcon (plus freebie) for $80 out the door due to voluntary override protocol. Yeah I'm lucky, my nearest store is full of good people. I didn't notice, however, they did forgot to upgrade the 15/20% coupon due to CC, and of course the actual cost is even lower with discount gift cards. My approach is to always be friendly and when they ask if I have a membership, I reply "yes, right here, and enough coupons to drive you nuts if you are willing to try them - not sure all will work, but maybe we can find out". It's like flies to honey as long as they aren't under strict management. People like to help nice people... If I run into so much trouble the purchase isn't worthwhile, I just apologize and tell them I thought I could get the price low enough to spend my money, but I understand if they won't allow it. Good times at TRU for those able to use, not abuse, the opportunities. If that's you, hopefully this info helps in some way.
