Alpinemaps
Hmmm....I was going to wait until Black Friday to Christmas to get Dimensions but, with a $20 gift card, plus some TRUTH and discounted gift cards....Are the 20% coupons good on these? Or does it exclude video games?
exciter1
Dimensions fun packs at TRU are already marked up to $16.99 and most level packs are $31.99. Just sayin...

Just sayin...Yeah, I noticed that too.Still better than this week should you want to buy only 1 starter + 1 (or 2) fun pack(s).20% coupon should exclude video gamesI'll double check today then. I figured it might not work, but I thought I'd double check. I don't usually dabble in video game products, so I don't ever pay attention to whether it's an exclusion. The discounted gift cards are going to have to help with this purchase, I think. Darth_Raichu
Yeah I am not in a hurry. But if you need this ASAP, next Thursday at TRU is the best deal so far. You basically get the fun pack for "free" assuming 1 starter+ 1 fun pack.
Alpinemaps
No rush for me. I think we'll see some sort of discount at Christmastime. No big rush except for a good deal.

Tgnmonster
For this Thursday, I have around $120 in discounted and bonus gift cards to combine with the coupon and CC.Do you folks still consider Lonely Mountain to be a safe bet, or should I be focusing on something else from TRU (like Ecto). Feels way too early to get the new SW sets. Thanks much!
zskid00
Lonely Mountain is probably a safe bet to retire within the next few months but there are also some good candidates to buy for resale during the upcoming holiday shopping season. (TRU exclusive)not only a tru exclusive, but you get a poster and figures at retail (before coupons) as opposed to jacked up prices if you were to buy them separately at same establishment.

jerryherb
im pretty sure all the TRU exclusive combo packs include separate set boxes inside of the large one, plus a freebie of sorts, like a poster
ISO8T0
ymmv, but in my TRU the Luke & Vader combo pack is in the LEGO section with the other SW sets, but ALL of the other buildable figures are over in the SW toys section.
baschloinka
is that the lego dimension pack? haven't seen vader & luke combo in local TRU. may be looking in a wrong place?Nope. TRU exlcusive pack of two buildable figures. (The $20 to $30, recently released SW buildable figures). Mine has them sitting right by the single pack buildable figures.
Cbenioff
I'd actually recommend the new star wars sets as they are still retail price so you get a better discount than buying the marked up older sets (should have bought them last year). For me since I am a fan, I am making sure I get one of each of the star wars sets before the prices go up and then I will move into what has the best short term investment potential. Lonely Mountain isn't a bad choice. The discount will be better the closer to $75 you are. The $5 off and the Bricktober set account for a higher % of your purchase price. Look for sets between $75-$100 to maximize the impact of Bricktober. Edited October 6, 2015 by Cbenioff formatting
