They didn't crack open a battle pack for you? My manager said it was the most positive feedback they've gotten so far. The builds are cool, but stressful. I saw a guy with a teenage son give the manager lip last week because the packages were short one piece. Even though the son build it right there in less than 5 minutes and only had to walk over and ask the lady for a piece she was already aware was shorted and was eagerly giving them out tj everyone. No, they didn't open anything but I wouldn't expect them too. I'm more mad at myself for not showing up earlier. However, this is becoming a trend for my local TRUs again. About 2 years ago, we were having a problem with TRU running out of these things after 20 minutes. It got better for about a year, where they had plenty. But the last few builds, going back to this summer, have had them running out about half way through and turning away kids. I don't get the issue with giving lip for a simple mistake. At the last few we can either fill out bags ourselves or take a prefiled bag. If we do a prefiled bag, we build on the spot. Last week, we were short a piece in one of our two bags. It took no effort to go over and mention we were short. They just had us grab what we needed, no big deal. Quote
jerphisch Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Does anyone know if the 15% from opening a credit card can be applied to hard to find items online or if that falls under "some exclusions apply"? Quote
LegoBro Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 I didn't use it on an exclusive as they seem to be marked up at least 15 to 20 percent so I can't help you here. However, I can tell you that you can stack it on top of the 10% off on Thursday and Saturday which makes for a really nice 25% discount. On a side note I was told by a checker that they no longer price match anything outside their online toys r us site. I was price matching amazon last week. maybe @exciter1 can chime in. Quote

There are so many newbies this time of year, you really do have to show them how to do their job. Like making sure they press the discount button on Thursday's and Saturdays. Either pull up the website info, or just politely request a manager. Smile, be patient. Don't be upset. You'll get your PM. 2 Quote

I rarely price match at TRU, but yes, take a few minutes and share their own price match guarantee with them. http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=11949070 1 Quote
cory730 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 I was at Toys RUs for 2 hr. price matching there own website on the Bionicles. After the the manager agreed and the cashier manually changed the 25 plus sets I went to car to see the Blue Maskmaker was 24.99 in store and not the normal 14.99. So I payed $17 for it when it is $10 online. I used rewards that I cant use online since Im banned. Quote

I've searched my TRU repeatedly and yet to find the sign that says "The Assistant Manager will try her hardest not to honor our printed ads, promotions, and other discounts either digital or printed. Thank you for choosing Toys R Us". 2 Quote

exciter1 Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Might be a good pick-up with 15% off, TRUTH, and cashing in those gift cards. 2 Quote
