TRUTH Tactics : and now the end is here

Not answering your question, but similar.
Last week I price matched 4 items to Amazon.com, and they would not honor the $25 GC coupon.  Still used discounted gift cards and got double bonus points though.  Ended up about 35% discount per item vs. retail.

TRU policy usually is a PM voids any other offers. So no coupons can be used and no offers like special GCs back will be had by you. Occasional YMMV tho.

Anyone have any luck in bringing in past receipts to get polybag promos? I shopped over the weekend at a TRU and they said they were out of A Wing pilots, went back yesterday and found one randomly, along with many others at one cashier.

You should be able to, but as with anything at TRU, YMMV.

Love it!  I ordered a Star Wars Black Series Hovertank Pilot for pick-up, since they were available online.  Went in the store today and saw the pegs with several hanging there.  I then went up front with my stuff and asked to pick-up my order.  They called it in, the guy walked up front with it, no bag, no receipt, no nothing.  He hands it over and comments to me, "You don't even know how hard that was to find, must be the last one in the store."  I told him he had a half a dozen or so on the pegs over there.  He frustratingly throws his hands up and mumbles something like, "See what happens when I take a day off?"  I have no idea how that applied to the situation, but it is what it is. :)

I would try. As for TRU saying they are "out" of a promo item, I recommend trying to checkout at customer service, in that case. Especially this time of year it is normal for a cashier to say they are out or radio someone who has little to no knowledge of the promo who then says they are out, when they actually still have stock.

Tried yesterday, bought a $100.04 (tax free state) woth of items, and used the $25 GC over $100 purchase, and try to use my $100 Reward Cert, this makes the computer not giving out $25 GC...

So be aware... Not so happy on my end, because I just create the Reward Cert in front of the cashier, and now I can put them back into my points....

Have you tried returning it to see what you'll get back? Maybe gift cards and then use those GC to rebuy with the $25 coupon?

rewards are more like use it or lose it.

i. can't use them partially

ii. if you return items you don't get anything back [ so better only buy items that you know are going to be kept ]

iii. i believe you have at least 30 days from the creation date to redeem reward

Rarely shop at TRU. I was wondering if there is a limit on what you can buy? Like poly bags. Was wondering if they would let me buy say 20 of the first order general. Get the 25 off the 100 dollars. Not sure if that's a "policy" or a "YMMV" any input would be great. Looking to go in the AM.

I did this once. Purchased 10-20 polybags as party favors for my son's birthday. No issues whatsoever.

No problems.
My routine this last week has been picking an ideas set ($60), 8x FO Generals or A-wing pilots. To get an A-wing for free and the $25 GC

I've purchased 50+ Joker Bumper Cars polybags without issues, probably also one of the worse decisions I've ever made...

Can you use the GC towards the transaction that qualifies it?

Debating if the FO gen or A wing pilot is worth stocking up on.

No. You get the gift card after your transaction. It's supposed to be invalid until December 1, but it gets activated before hand.

I use the Card Pool app to use mine because the employees at my local TRU try to follow the rules. But I believe you can use it online within hours.

I might be misunderstanding your sequence, but...

The problem here is that the rewards cert amount is subtracted first from the items subtotal and that difference needs to be >$100 to qualify the purchase for a spend 100 for 25GC. In TRU's eyes you were spending only 4 cents. I tried this as well and that was the explanation I got. The rewards don't count toward "spending $100".

Rewards are odd at TRU like others mentioned, just spend them alone on things you know you want. Using them online with sales or other promos makes it easier to handle then nuttiness at the register. I used my $55 online instead with the 10dollars promo code on items that were 20% off.

Must be pretty YMMV.
I did 3 separate PM (2 of same item each time) transactions for spend 100 for 25GC at one store. All same day with different registers and at least one manager. There was some seasonals with oversight.

The GCs were flying out to everyone so maybe they were too focused on that to get hung up on PM.

Separately I've had TRUTH denied (and not) with PM. I need to learn the "truth" on that and get the bank on speed dial.
