amrandazz Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I'm sure many of you have kids and have bought a half metric buttload of duplo for them. I just started my 18mo with his first of many sets. When he gets old enough, I plan on trying to maximize resale value of these if possible and then reinvest into sets he wants when he's old enough. So for those of you that have reselling experience with duplo, is it worth it to keep the box/manual or no? I've noticed that the manuals don't generally have the part listing, and they're located on the box but I'm sure you can verify the parts online. I don't see there being a big AFOL following for non-themed duplo. Quote
Muffin Cup Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I generally do not save boxes, though sometimes cut out the parts listing or front tab to keep. The only boxes I would consider keeping are large sets with resale value - generally not duplo. Even then, I don't really care about boxes (and my buyers don't either...) Items are a burden - choose carefully! I actually reuse boxes for packing material. Quote
iahawks550 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 NO. Waste of time and space. Keep the manuals. It's tough enough to re-sell Duplo that is new. You will find that most people won't pay much for used Duplo. When I hear "used Duplo", I think baby snot, drool, and bite marks. 1 Quote

amrandazz Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 Good to know. Thanks! Resell on craigslist/letgo? Obviously not wasting time on ebay unless sold as a large lot but I don't even think that's worth the hassle. Easy enough to wash them. Quote
