Pietsma
First sold out at Shop@home EU (a miracle, even at 30%/50% off). Now resurrected? https://shop.lego.com/nl-NL/Adventure-Time-21308 Backorders accepted. Maybe they anticipate on the returns to come from people who bought at 50% off and realise there’s still not very much to gain? ? Hopefully the Caterham and Beatles Yellow Sub stay away. The are, however, again visible between the Ideas section as ‘sold out’. They disappeared earlier. I guess it will make the 50% off final summer clearance for retiring items.
Guest TabbyBoy
If SAH removed the buying restrictions when on sale, they'd have got rid of this crap ages ago and we'd no longer need to mention it.
Val-E
Or they could have just stopped making them a year ago.
MrSam
So at what price would people actually buy these? They're getting pretty cheap (I can get them locally at 62% off). I picked up a few, but unsure if I'm willing to buy many as I expect little demand. Thoughts?
Furious_george
Still available at LEGO Shop at Home. From memory , I think they retired a while ago but came back. I have two and have decided that’s 2 too many.
The Leveller
Leave them. There's no demand for this set. Maybe the Ideas collectors in the long run. But who else who want this piece of crap especially if you can get the minifigs from the Dimensions sets.Sent from my SM-A520F using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

Ecto-1 has nearly reached RRP after fees so there's still hope of some beer money from AT.
Belac
Ecto1 has the firehouse to pair with. When that retires it could bump Ecto 1 up a little. Adventure Time just doesn't seem that collectible for AFOL. Or really even wanted by anybody. That being said, its always about buy in costs. There is Money in every set if your savvy enough. iahawks550
Most of us will never see 75% off sets. Of course there is money to be made when you can sell it yourself for basically 50% off.
eastwik
This has been 50% off at my Kohl's for a while. I'm not interested at all but it's a good set to get if you're looking for small plates and cheese slopes to add to your brick inventory. CathyVT
I just bought a couple at 80% off at Kohls. One to mess around with (maybe try making some alt builds) one to stash away just in case...

dustin35
Went to my local Kohl's and found 11 of the Aventure time sets. After everything was said and done I paid $9.55 a set. Still wondering if this is a good decision after reading all the comments.

Even previous turds, like Birds (2015 release?), are selling for more than retail. I think it was a $50 set and current eBay price is around $65 (?). It's just going to take a while for Adventure Time to get there, because so many of us are going to get it at the deep discount price and can list it at various below retail prices depending on what profit we're comfortable with. While the supply is below retail, buyers might feel comfortable waiting to make their purchase, too. If you're going for a diversified brickfolio, this is low risk so long as you have patience and a long-term outlook. If you're more into putting your eggs into a few baskets, shorter return times, or have a limited budget with which to invest, this might not be the greatest, IMHO.
