Because this is what I can see there. The second picture shows zero in Architecture. When I switch to Czech language I can see under sets - Sale starts now 77 items, but still missing the optional check-box "retiring soon" My sale filter works as I said. Retiring soon has indeed gone.

Really poor value set considering RRP £50 next Christmas. Not about the piece count, but supply and demand. If it hasn't been on Amazon or Tesco, good chance it'll do well. Manse1001
Trivia question. Which Star Wars sets that have retired since 75055 are consistently trading at above RRP on ebay/bricklink?It's a fair point but on the contrary this isn't necessarily an issue if your buy in is low. This realistically is always aim of the game, buy low and sale at a profit. I can name numerous sets that havent reached RRP but my ROI has been plausible due to my initial purchase price being so low. Hoth and the Sandcrawler were recently retired UCS sets both of which could be potentially classed as 'Turds' even though the Sandcrawler is consistently floating around £300+ on eBay sold listings (£50 above RRP to answer your initial question) However, my buy in on these was £148 from TRU, therefore with a final Value deal on eBay I class that as a tidy profit if I were to sale today. crayxlp
this might be probably a very stupid question.. but what is the sorting/listing principle in Daily UK Amazon deals? It doesnt seem to be the listed like the largest discount first to least, nor alphabetically (1-100)..

Like Phantom, 75142 was also a Smyths exclusive and is doing well. Granted that most sets are below RRP, but some breakout. 75170 has more chance than most. I take the point about low buy ins but 75054 and 5 could have been had at the same discounts and netted more profit.

The problem is that most people who start "Lego investing" start off buying SW sets these days and prices stay depressed as people try to get back out. I think IST price depression is the biggest shock for me. Luckily that was in my first year and I didn't go very deep on any sets. Long shelf life for most sw sets, an ever increasing range size and new films causing re-releases have not helped either.

Said this at the time, it is going to take years for the market demand to absorb the 2016 blowout stock. IST’s I had 48 at an average of £42. That’s just me. Still surprised it’s trading at only £10 over RRP. Every set is horded and the UK market is really driven by what’s popular/hot. It doesn’t have the demand to drive continuous growth across all themes.

Think I'll maybe cut my losses at this point on my other Star Wars stuff, especially Poe's X-Wing.

I've ended up with a fair amount of Star wars Rogue one stuff but all at such low buy in that I'm honestly not worried about their performances. I also don't mind building them either. Guest TabbyBoy
Star Warts is now too risky to invest in, these sets need the biggest buy-in discounts of all. I personally can't be bothered and most of the sets look crap anyway. I wonder if the UCS TIE will disappoint like Red5 did?
richiej1979
How about AT-ST Walker 75153? Wasn't there talk of this hitting around £100 at some point due to the new version being a bit rubbish.

Well the UCS Tie did get to £240 a week or so back, however the under-cutters have took it down to £200. Looks like those whom invested in it have already missed the window lol
