dcdfan Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 I'm kinda surprised this forum isn't started yet. I'm looking forward to this set, though I wanted all of the submissions from this round to be created. Just a couple pics to remind folks what the submission set looked like. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/102950 4 Quote
nolanfan34 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I am still amazed they got the licensing done on this. I thought that would be the stumbling block for sure. 2 Quote
HandyHand Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Considering that the Caterham Seven was approved in an earlier round and so it should be released first, I expect this set to come out early 2017. Though maybe the Caterham needs more rework while this set could be exactly like the submission. That could bump it ahead of the release queue. What do you guys (and/or gals) think? Quote
Stud-Flipper Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 I hope Lego Don't Let Me Down with the final product. It's amazing how Lego and the Beatles can Come Together so well. I mean who knows this could be one of the best sets I'll buy In My Life. 4 Quote

Nice to know. Quote

That sounds high for a bunch of brick-built figures. Anyway, not interested in AT, but definitely in Caterham Super 7 - and for a car that's a great price point. Quote

According to the official announcement Adventure Time will cost $49.99, has the set number 21308 and is to be released on January 1. There are three more projects that already passed the review. Both the Caterham Super Seven and the Apollo 11 Saturn V projects do not look like $60 sets. That would only leave the Beatles Yellow Submarine which I can envision being sold at the $60 price point. tractorboy Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) Just see pics of the 4 figs and the Nowhere Man fig on twitter. Is this a January release? Ok found some images of the box. Very impressed if they're real, looks better than the submission. Yay. Edited October 11, 2016 by tractorboy Quote

Will there be Blue Meanies?Nope. Just the Nowhere Man. Quote
Phil B Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I'm glad there is finally another set that I really don't care about. Too many entries on the "want to buy" list already. 4 Quote
fossilrock Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Now this is freaking awesome! I'm a fan of this one! Love the movie, and this set has some collectibility appeal to it. 1 Quote

Alpinemaps Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Oh I think I was wrong about the Green Meanie. I'm looking at the pics again and I see him. Quote
nolanfan34 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I missed the pics. Only want to say I'm still impressed they licensed it. Really have no read on this one - could be a huge hit, could be a huge dud. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Could these be the most valuable post EOL minifigs ever? I see that even custom sets are making good money on eBay let alone the 500 limited editions from the Liverpool store opening. Of course, it depends how many billions of sets are produced! Quote
Val-E Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Shame they missed out on releasing it together with the Ron Howard film. Nowadays it is a big mistake to rely on the value of minifigs to carry a set (Dimensions ended that) but think that this is one of those sets like T1, which will have crossover appeal to non Lego fans. The Dr Who vs TBBT vs BTTF vs Beatles popularity debate is a pretty short one. Quote

Val-E Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Kind of wish Lego did do religious stuff so we could finally see a Jesus v Beatles popularity contest. It´s been pending for more than 50 years. 4 Quote
