I'd be quite surprised if there isn't a special Ep 4 related release in 2017, given 2017 is the film's 40th anniversary. I highly doubt that they are only going to release the snowspeeder as a lone ucs set.

So, if we look at Ep 4 vehicles that might get a 'ucs' or similar (re) release:

- Sandcrawler (retiring soon)
- Landspeeder (scheduled for 2017 release)
- TIE Fighter (in stock)
- DS (let's not go there)
- MF (75105)
- Y Wing (scheduled for 2017 release)
- Vader's TIE (soon to be retired)

We can cross the aforementioned off the list as they already exist in some form currently, or are scheduled to be released.

The vehicles left are.....

- Star Destroyer
- Blockade Runner
- X Wing

.... as sets that might get the ucs treatment in 2017.

Now if I wanted to cash in on the 40th anniversary hype whilst still maintaining originality, I would make a UCS Devastator with a midi/small scale Tantive IV + Leia and droid minifigs (this might have been mentioned somewhere before).

Or it is entirely likely that they will pick something off the list and remake it just because they can, making this whole post null and void. If they do opt for this path of least resistance, the list shows what long-term holds might be at risk. In this case, the absolute nail in the coffin would be a UCS MF remake.

I will be buying both the Y-Wing and Battle on Scarif sets.  I like the fact they are including Jyn Erso in the Imperial uniform in the Battle on Scarif set.  I also like the minifigure selection in the Y-Wing set.

The Y-Wing is very cool. A good spin on an OT vehicle with interesting figs. I like Moroff the teddy bear.

Might be a time to liquidate holds on 9495.

It's about time to get rid of them, but I'm debating whether I should wait for the movie or not. All Y-Wing sets could get a serious boost if it's prominent in Rogue One. It'll likely make another appearance in Rebels as well. On the flipside everyone will know that a new Y-Wing is coming by the time Rogue One is out.

For me that time has definitely arrived. I'm not sure if I should even keep one for myself. The new y-wing does look good.

I have one built up. It's a great set, but the new one looks slightly better imo. I'd sell 9495 for 100€, take your profits and buy a new one when you can get a good deal.

Once again Lego helps my wallet as looking at those the Y-wing is the only real attraction for me.

+1. No remakes and only turdy new sets means older stuff should be more sought after.

75172: Y-Wing probably best investment wise for long term.

75168: Yoda's Jedi Starfighter should be good steady gainer.

75169: Duel on Naboo will be good for parting out due to maul and qui gon jinn minifigs
