I'm excited for the build and having a miniature Red Ecto to put next to the full size one coming out next month.  Maybe the Chinese facade will look okay next to my firehouse. .

A-tem, Mission Impossible, Adventure Time, HP?! If they add Marvel and SW I'll consider buying the game

I'm sure that's next year. I wasn't at the table during the negotiations but I feel it's safe to say Disney met with Lego before announcing the end of their toys2life game. I'm sure it's safe to say they made "arrangements" 4-6 months ago. Thus giving TT time to add Marvel and SW. I would say it will be part of Lego Dimensions 2. Not a add on or level pack...just my 2 cents.

As much as I like the new packs, LEGO & TT are digging their heels on toys to life trend that is losing its steam. I hope this decision does not cause too much $$ lost on the long run.

They do a good job of making consumers feel like they are the first ones to notice this.  They dug their heels in when they committed to it, probably over 2 years ago.

I agree that the TTL games are coming to an end, but at least with these we get some unique Lego we might not otherwise get.

I hope you don't have to buy the Ghost Busters level pack to use the gold base figures.  Has anyone see confirmation one way or the other?  The release lines up with the release of last years game.

To add to the discussion. (I don't have any dimensions yet, but I might have to start with Mr. T or the HP set.

If it was anything other than Lego I would agree. As this thread proves "if they add this I'm in or make this happen" at the rate their going they will have almost any relevant movie or show from early 80s to present. That's almost 4 decades of stuff to release. I had a friend at work who doesn't own a single Lego but saw BTTF and bought the level pack and game JUST for that. If they release stuff he likes in the future I'm sure he will buy it.

I think you are underestimating how much people love Lego. You don't have to be on this forum or be an AFOL to buy it. Lego mixed with big IPs will be a big success. Since Lego is not publicly traded I can't tell you the numbers but when others are pumping the breaks or exiting the vehicle...Lego is flooring it!

By default less competition more $. With Disney out I see Lego shooting up. What competition does Lego have now? Sky landers? I assume the majority of people buying that is parents for their kids between 5-12. I'll use myself as an example! I haven't played many games as I've gotten older but about 6 months ago I decided to give dimensions a try (something for me and my girlfriend to play together...she's no gamer lol) we both enjoyed it and I now own EVERY character released to date. I'm just one person lol...

If anyone can add fuel to toys2life it's Lego. The ability to have characters from your childhood mixed with new stuff all on one game...who else/what else is doing this??? Once again I'm sure I'm in the minority but I believe this will be a big success and will add new people to the "Lego world" that may have not entered it without dimensions.....

(potential new buyers of our hoarded retired sets :) lol)

I spot ET, Beast Boy (Teen Titan). Sonic, and the guy from the new HP  movie (Fantastic Beast)

Good catches DR.  I was trying to place Newt Scamander (sp?) and Beast Boy.  Sonic is pretty sweet too.

There's something to be said for offering such a wide, eclectic range of IPs - there will be something for everyone.  I can't tell you how excited I am for the BA Baracus fun pack.  I will own all A-Team packs assuming any more come.  Hannibal, Face and Murdock FTW!

Considering Pre-ordering the lot once they're up on Amazon.  Didn't some people score the later waves at really low prices last time?

Yeah Amazon did a 10 dollar off level packs and team packs and 5 dollars off fun packs. If other prices dropped they PM I got all the level packs for about 12 bucks. Some fun packs for like 4 dollars.

If you just pay full retail then this is a horrible idea for you lol. Don't forget Best Buy has UGC you get 20% off Lego dimensions.

I like your positive attitude

I see your points, my only concern is LEGO becoming the last one standing in a dying trend.  Even Skylanders people are trying new ways to get out of the TtL and they are supposed to be the pioneer :sarcastichand:

Plus I just do not see too many people who get introduced to Dimensions via BttF feel the need to collect all Dimensions characters from Chima & Ninjago :dontknow:
