Sold a new Midway arcade level pack on ebay. Buyer messaged me with the following message:

"build my article specifically the car, and put it in the toy pad tells me that " an empty label on the toy pad is placed. remove it until you use it in order to get instructions models. " If it not damage tell me What can I do ?"

I have never played the game. Anyone know what he's is talking about and help me out?  I did a quick search on the internet and found this post in the Dimensions support site. Will this help him?

That's some serious Google Translate!

It sounds like your buyer built the gadgets/vehicles before prompted to in-game. I did the same with mine, but you can't use them until they've been unlocked in the game as well. Unlocking in-game differs based on whether it's a Fun/Team Pack or a Level Pack.

For a Fun/Team Pack, you first build the minifig(s), place it on the base, and are then prompted to build the corresponding vehicle/gadget. At the end of the on-screen build instructions the toy tag will be written to by the base. With a level pack, though, you actually have to start playing the level before you can do any of the gadget/vehicle builds. He needs to first build the Gamer Kid minifig and place it on the base, which will unlock the Midway level. Once he starts playing the Midway level and drops Gamer Kid onto the pad and selects him, he should get a prompt for the remaining builds. If he's already built it, just have him speed through the "pages" and get to the part where the toy tag is written.

If it's the minifig base that is registering as empty, then that is a damaged set, but Lego will replace the base for him.

Edited to add:

This is from the support page you linked- your buyer may need to play through some of the Midway level before he can actually do the gadget/vehicle builds.

"If the vehicle or gadget you would like to build is part of a Level Pack, you will need to play through some part of the level pack’s game level to unlock the instructions as part of the level’s storyline. Once you get to the part of the level that requires the use of said character’s vehicle or gadget, Build Instructions will be presented."

I found detailed pictures of Dimensions packs 71253 and 71257 for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" on Brickset.com. These are tempting to get on release day.

That Swooping Evil build looks pretty cool.  Is that light green piece used for head new? I am assuming the 2 vine pieces were connected to it

Thank you. Sounds like this is what he did.  I will pass along to my buyer.

Amazon has also dropped their prices to match Target on the upcoming September 27th preorder wave, with the exception of the Adventure Time Level Pack. I've submitted the lower price for that to Amazon, so hopefully they will match!

Question is do I wait for Best Buy to do...so I get another 20% off.

They're all preorders and all cancellable or returnable. I say preorder the not-yet-released stuff now and then just keep an eye on prices. For the stuff that's out now, I'd grab it. They're not going out of production, but a lot of stores will be ditching the older packs to get the newer ones on the shelves, so this may be one of the last times get to a deal this good.

Adventure Time Level Pack and the Harry Potter Team Pack are both still regular price at Amazon.

Edit: Never mind, looked at the wrong thing

And I did point out that the Adventure Time Level Pack was still full price there, too. :)
