Jeff Mack Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Just wondering how many of you are starting to receive Amazon Prime Same Day shipping. I noticed this has become available to me and its been fun ordering before noon and getting my stuff around 6pm or so. A few times it came in handy. I just have no idea how they can afford to do this and pay the extra delivery people. They seem to have created their own "Uber" system of delivery people. The orders are not delivered by USPS or UPS/Fedex. Some info on Same Day Delivery: http://amzn.to/283CRjf 1 Quote
Battrax Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I received a package yesterday , funnily enough. Ordered most likely around 0100 (am), received it by the afternoon. Not even in a major metropolitan area. Amazon is really gearing up to smash all opposition at this point. Quote
justapilgrim Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 the local delivery company for Amazon in rural idaho is a Uber type business for deliveries. I've seen them at Costco (and others) parking lot with packages out everywhere sorting them Quote
Alpinemaps Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Even though I live in a major city, I'm far enough outside the city that I'm outside their zone. I miss it by about 15 miles. Quote
