There's a current ebay promo where they offer no listing or final value fees if you sell on platforms other than your home one, so I can post on the US, German, French etc. sites.

How do people do this if the platform isn't in your native language, for example meine Deutsche is nicht so gut, so would German buyers (who generally have better English than most anyway) be offended if listings are in English, or would it not be an issue?

Copy and paste into Google translate. In the description post in both languages. I know translate isn't perfect but they get the gist. The title should be easy because the set numbers and names don't change. Nobody is gonna skip out on a good deal because of the language used.

In the past I've just listed in English and listed as posting to European countries. This wasnt lego, but I've never had any issues selling or posting to European countries provided they can use Paypal and tracked mail services.

Their English is much better than my German, Spanish and Swedish

This seems like a bizarre promotion since you can sell internationally via eBay anyway, in the UK you can even just ship to them in England and let them handle the onward shipping (sold a Tumbler to Italy this way). I would just list in English and not worry about it, ultimately Lego and the set number don't need translation away.

Ooh wait, hadn't thought of my cheap Tumbler's, good idea :thumbsu:

Ebay are the racists for giving favourable treatment to some platforms.
