Redtree
Will this be the early release in May for VIPs or is it the minecraft set? Thanks!
Val-E
No early release. Could they have chosen a worse surface to open the box on in the video? Maybe a bed of nails or an industrial grinder?

I read some where that June 1st is actually an early release in the US. It will be available at LEGO Shop at Home only, and a limited number of stores in Germany. Then should hit most LEGO stores in July. Edited May 13, 2016 by jay4e
fuzzy_bricks
I love the packaging and presentation. It would be awesome if they did this for some other top sets.

Too expensive, Technic not as popular and I believe many people buying this actually want to build it.

bricksnstocks
I would have liked and expected much less human involvement As a private company, LEGO probably is a big employer there and don't have any shareholder's pressure to replace humans with robots/automation.
