citymorgue Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Question guys. I plan on buying this set later this afternoon, and I was wondering, for those that have built it recently, did Lego ever fix the gearbox mistake in the instructions? Or do I still have to reverse it to make sure it shifts in order? Quote

There are additional changes developed by a few members at Eurobricks which made the model much better. Quote
therealjustin Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 I'm still wanting to buy this set but it is just too expensive at $300 plus tax. I feel I might end up waiting so long that it gets retired. The price doesn't seem to budge here in the U.S. at all. Should I just buy it now or wait it out? Quote
Val-E Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Very sensible price for this one on Amazon UK right now. Only for Primers. Quote
crayxlp Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 I saw it yesterday on UK Amazon for the very same price with a not "on stock on November 16". Im scared to order it even for the prices VAT excl. (132 GBP + 6.7 GBP shipping) given the way how Amazon handles packages and how carefully they pack them. And this one - i can imagine that due to its totally luxurious feel noone would be enticed by a scratched or creased box.. Quote
Anarci Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 I bought one three weeks ago for 240 EUR. We will see for how long will it be available Quote
Legoboy Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Bought 2 for 186,- each a few weeks ago @ Amazon Quote
Thanatos2pi Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Is there a difference between the German and UK version? The booklet is a two language version as far as i know? Thanks in advance. Quote

Having said that, with a new supercar this summer, it is likely EOL in the winter. Quote

But it does look like the supermarket chains won't be stocking much more. Tesco did stop stocking quite a few sets in the summer that have just been retired (for example AT-ST, Airport Show, City Square and some of the small Speed Champions sets). 40% discounts maybe hard to achieve again if the availability is restricted. Guess we will soon see, but a surprise summer retirement would be good. Quote
Val-E Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Technic is a world of few surprises and we already got one with early retirement of Telehandler 42061. Quote
mustang30266 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 The satin black finish on the 911 GT3RS (42056) scratches very easily. How bad is this? Should I exchange and try to wrap this box or is it fine for long term investing? Quote
Ed Mack Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Not much. I wouldn't waste your time. 3 Quote

Guest TabbyBoy Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 It depends on the buy-in. I'd return a <mint box if I paid RRP or close to it. If >3rd off then it's OK ;-) Quote

There'll be so many hoarded at low buy-ins that RRP may not even be reached. The 8110 Unimog still struggles to recover RRP after fees. Box condition shouldn't wipe >10% off the value (maybe 11% in the UK) - LOL. I now have one to build... at -50% in trashed box from Smyths. Quote
