I recieved mine today. I ordered On June 1st and got my shipped-mail today only two hours bofre DHL rang at my door.

Most noticeable change to the packaging seems to be a rearrangement of the boxes. Mine arrived in perfect condition, packed onto two boxes, once the tight fitting shipping box, and onthoer with a few air-pockets for extra protection.

Is it same size with different arrangement, only?

what do you guys think about this as an investment set to hold for 3 years? Could it make some money.

Yes. Depends what year you purchase it in though...

BTW, welcome to the site...

I think it was just said because would you like to make money now, 1 or 2 years down the road, or 6 years down the road?

i see lego as a long term investment. I am completely new to this but i do have a few sets that ai would like to buy and store for 3 to 5 years ( if need be more ) before i sell them.

My point is, this will be out for awhile. If you buy it today, you have to wait until it's no longer available for it to start appreciating. I'd be more inclined to buy somethings today that's gonna be leaving sooner rather than later...

ok so i will buy this later when it is near retiering. I did buy the tumbler and  sand crawler and now i will buy a few more star wars ucs . but do you think this could sell with a profit 3-5 years after it retires . Damn but it is so nice i may even buy one for myself and put it on a shelf.

It depends how many people have bought these when they were available then how much demand there is...

I received my back-order today that was ordered from the UK shop at home on the 1st June.  Double boxed with air pillow between the boxes; and looks like the picture posted by Feanor.

New York does have 8 Lego stores and when the set was released you could buy 2 at a time.

But to get to all 8 stores takes about a week with New York traffic...  Lol.

My store in San Diego, which has only one, had some still too.  But I'm holding on to the two original ones I bought.  Not sure yet if they will appreciate that much that fast...
