Stevenplays Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 If POTC comes back... It better be the larger sets, not these 25 dollar sets that should be 20, and only one large set per wave ect... I'ld buy them for the build and to collect one of each figure, but would sell the rest. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Well, Lego did bring back Castle for a short run so why not their other classic line? Hopefully we get some swashbuckling wenches this time around too. I would imagine the characters shall look similar to these fellas here. Quote
biniou Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Maybe the metal beard character (lego movie) will give back to kids interest in pirates. Quote

beartrapper Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I'd love to see the new ships being closer in size to the sea cow. (Fingers Crossed) 1 Quote
Ciglione Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Or maybe they could base it on the classic game "Monkey Island"? That would be awesome in my humble opinion. Quote
brickelements Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 My biggest theme so far is vintage Pirates. I have all the large ships in multiples. They are appreciating nicely. Bought many of the Barracudas and Schooners the last 2-3 years every time I find a good deal. Quote

inversion Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Now waiting for the new Pirates exclusive. I have a hunch that it will be a harbor town with inn and stuff. My reasons are the following: New soldiers' ship (e.g. Imperial Flagship) is unlikely considering there was one recently Release of a bigger pirate ship in conjunction with a $100 one is also unlikely Treasure Island, a good candidate, is already a smaller set in this wave Quote
naf Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Kind of disappointed that the ship is only $100. I was hoping for something closer to 10210. Right now it looks like a redo of Brickbeard's Bounty, but hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised. I like the idea above of a harbor town exclusive, I think that would be a great set. Quote
biniou Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Kind of disappointed that the ship is only $100.As a builder, yes.But as an investor, it's awesome because it will add some great value to the PotC ships. For sure I'll keep my last queen anne's r. until the new pirates sets are here and not resell it on 2014 Xmas. And a Somali for the 7th : By the way I agree that a MMV-like port town would be the way to go for the next AFOL Pirates set. Reminds me this: :P Quote
citymorgue Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 This is getting exciting. I never owned any pirate ships as a kid, but I did have some of the smaller pirate sets. My mom couldn't afford those bigger sets until years later, but man they were awesome. I would like to see a reboot of an aliens theme. Similar to the insectoid or the ufo line from the late 90s. The prices for New Zealand have so the original poster on Eurobricks did a currency change. Over there at least, The Brick Bounty will go for $179 NZD. Quote
brickelements Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Odd Ball idea just popped into my head. COuld be used for this smaller run of Pirate themed sets. A new way for lego to sell the crap out of smaller sets within a theme. Lego already uses a VIP bonus system, buy X dollar amount get Y back in rewards. Why not take thta a step further...as you buy each set within a specific theme you get more and more reward points or percentage off of the Lego Exclusive set within that theme. It would be nice for most themes to have a Lego only exclusive Buy all sets within a smaller theme (5-8 sets) and get the largest or exclusive set at Y% off. Quote

brickelements Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 As a huge fan of the pirate theme. I am seriously disappointed. The ship is way top close to Brickbeard's Bounty. This seems like a slight reboot of the 2009 lineup. scratching head...I know most modders/moc ship builders to include my amateur self can do better. Quote
@rtisan Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 So all in the $30 or less price bracket, except for the ship of course. I`m assuming $30 for the soldier`s fort as well going by the piece count. If that is the case, then these are all good buys, and cheaper/on par with the previous line. Quote
tabc59 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I'm glad they rebooted the Pirates theme, but overall I was hoping for a little more from the theme. I hope they eventually add a bigger ship to the lineup. Quote
Pseudoty Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Shipwreck Defense will be an inexpensive way to get some cannons. Quote
rcdb1984 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I was hoping for a normal looking sea cow.......argh. Quote
