Newbie looking for information on 80's stuff

Hi all,

Am new to the boards and looking to get some information on what Legos I have.  Most of this has been in storage for awhile and just came across it from the childhood years.  Everything that I have is probably from the 80's.  Wasn't sure if just boxes were worth money by themselves, if ripped boxes on one side, both sides, etc.  Going to try to put some pictures up and any info would be greatly appreciated on the value and sell value.  I looked up the sell value for say the Wrecker Unit 1 6656 on here and says around $40 new, I look on Ebay and someone is selling for $249 new. This item 6656 and the cement mixer 6682 are the only items new in the box.  Everything else is opened and seeing if those boxes have any value.  Thanks for any help
