For the second time in my life, I was sitting on a toilet when an Earthquake hit.

Too much chilli?

For some reason I am reminded of the scene in The Toxic Avenger when he's on the can (that I can't seem to find on Youtube, darn it).

. suddenly realized that I just put too much money into TLG products..  should have stopped and get a new BMW instead.. :/ . not to mention that (the car) consumes significantly less space than all the boxes + is not not that fragile to keep up.. ah well.. we all make mistakes..

BMW is crap, lego is not.

it would be quite interesting, if we both could come up with 5 PROS/CONS why LEGo is (in your opinion better) than "a car" (ok..BMW might be not the best, there are other EU products such as Audi, Mercedes etc.)

The most surreal thing happened to me today and I'm gonna need some advice. Was driving around town and stopped at a stoplight. The car in front of me is just some beat-up rusted 90s model. And there's this young guy driving, maybe 20s. And I swear I'm not making this up, the guy had his arm stuck out the window the whole few blocks I was behind him, and he was holding a HUGE stack of money, what looked to be a good 6" thick, as far as one can stretch their hand open to hold something. And he was waving it around outside the window, as if to flaunt it, like "look how rich I am". Obviously suspicious so I took the opportunity to write down his license plate number. Now I'm contemplating reporting it to the police, but not sure? Seems criminal related considering it was like a $500 car and probably well over 5 figures, depending on the denominations. But coulda been fake prop money I suppose?

I went to an auction and saw job lots of 4x2 bricks and baseboards. The reserve was too high so nothing sold. FYI for next week in case reserve is removed to get rid. I've done OK in the past with >90% off RRP. I didn't bid as I'm after bicycle parts and signmaking equipment. It was in Chertsey, but not in catalogue. It's a dog-eat-dog place so you need to be thick skinned ?

Bought Fuel, Milk, Cheese, Bacon, Water. We have supplies already but people even this far inland are freaking out. Going to be a strange few days. I leave tomorrow from Charlotte to Las Vegas for work, supposed to take the red-eye back on Friday arriving Saturday AM. With Florence bearing down, we will see if I get back in time or not...
