And it does take a while to arrived in Australia physical stores. we will be lucky to see it on the shelves in November before Xmas. Quote
diablo2112 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) It's now live on LEGO Shop at Home. Just put my order in. Lego 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator Edited August 1, 2016 by diablo2112 Quote
marcandre Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I hope they package that bus separately. It's going to get pancaked by that monster excavator box. 2 Quote
diablo2112 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Update: also available on Amazon Prime w/2 day shipping. Cancelled my S&H order, and went via Amazon. No tax for me, either that way. The bus isn't the big a deal to me. I get 3% cash back on Amazon, a better deal than 5% VIP considering no tax. Edited August 1, 2016 by diablo2112 Quote
diablo2112 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Good looking kit. 32 bags, numbered 1-8 + motor, battery box, and manual. Love me my Technic flagships. Also, the B-model instructions are now up on Lego's site. The B-model looks super on the back of the box, very tempting to order a second kit for that build 9 Quote
jm0221 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Is 42055 the main flagship model for this year then? Looks fantastic! Quote

pzyluke Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Just got this today at my local Lego store. Free London Bus and $30 in points for the double VIP weekend? Yes please! The box is comically giant. This thing is awesome. Quote
Val-E Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 You know you are in for a long build when the bags are numbered up to 8 sets and the manual is thicker than the battery box! Quote
Voltron Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Amazon UK selling for £150, 17% off already, it's only been 2 weeks since release Quote
Voltron Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Hope no-one bought this set for reselling, or if they did they better have got rid of it. I've found for most technic sets the only opportunity to make money is if you get early to qfll, get at >50% off, or long term hold after EOL. Quote

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but what other way of selling any Lego set in the secondary market is there? Besides the 3 ways that you mentioned? Edited September 4, 2016 by Lordoflego 2 Quote

Besides the 3 ways that you mentioned? Sorry should have been more clear. There are really only 3 ways to make money like I mentioned. This wasn't a good set to qfll as people started buying this set hoping it would be the next technic porsche. However this does not have the same appeal as the porsche as the only people who would buy it early are the die hard technic fans. 1 Quote
Brenner Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Massive set! I definitely want one for my own collection. For investment, no plans (yet). Quote

emazers Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Buying this set at Retail you have many many years to make money, unless you can get 20% coupons and with your 10% Tru Credit Card on Thursday thats about $80 plus some gift cards, than these will be great investment if we can get them for $180-$200. Now these are not even in Tru stores yet but they are coming. Quote

Bold-Arrow Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 ill eventually end up buying one somehow, somewhere Quote
Val-E Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 2.5 years to go on this one so plenty of time. I have a feeling this won´t be a best seller as it is not as appealing as the vehicles - it´ll be purchased more as a parts pack and that does not bode well for future appreciation. Quote
