I showed the trailer to my sons before they headed off to school... (they didn't move during the trailer) Afterwards, the oldest turns and looks to me - "you're going to take us to see it right?" .. I refrained from giving him a big "Hell Yes!"

One teeny tiny disappointment ... give us moar Darth Vader please.

They should only give us whatever Vader (if any) is needed for the story.

Once they go down that road of trying to check all the boxes, they inevitably sacrifice the story.

How about just one little force choke then? We deserve _that_ much don't we? ;)

Over or under: Vader's appearance / scenes on the actual movie will be shorter than the length of this trailer (2:17 minutes) :P

i was thinking the exact same thing. Half the film will be dedicated to the girl that shops in Waitrose explaining who she is and where she came from, the other posh bird will have a few things to say too, I guess. The new space ships will probably take about 10 minutes of screen time to fire up and fold/unfold their wings and you will have another 20 or so of Death Star stock footage and Stormtroopers bumbling around getting shot.

I´d say James Earl Jones is on a word by word deal similar to Hamill so, yeah 2 mins or so sounds right.

I wasn't excited for TFA but I am for RO. Idk why it has my attention more but it does. If the whole movie is as epic as these trailers this will be a home run! Will stock up on these sets for sure! Remakes of a standalone movie seem unlikely...we've never had a standalone SW movie so it's hard to say for sure but I'm already labeling this a win on all sides.

I've been trying to avoid spoilers so forgive me if this has been discussed a million times before, but i like the concept of 'explaining' why the Death Star had such a ridiculous fault.

It's because the best scientists in the universe were not cool with building a super death laser.

They probably had to be forced to work on this against their beliefs.

Of course those scientists would build a back door vulnerability.

Very common sense really. Very Kevin Smith look at Star Wars.

You think an average Stormtrooper knows how to install a toilet? No man, that place probably had thousands of subcontractors on it when it blew.

The last trailer threw me for a few loops.  The blind Magic Stick Man using his stick to defeat all the stormtroopers and the dialogue was kind of rough, but this trailer is solid.  I have no real complaints about it.  NONE, and it makes me extremely excited to see the film.

This whole trailer was the reshoots.
