I always explained that by one of Leia's force powers being that she's good at concealing herself in the Force, in this case without even being aware she has force powers. She's that powerful!!! How else to explain her "considerable" resistance to the probe droid? Like how all the Jedi could stand beside Palpatine and not know what he was, or that he even has force powers. I don't think force projection suppression is a particularly good or dark side trait.

Technically there are no other Jedi by Episode IV other than Obi-wan and Yoda. Luke is not a Jedi knight until ROTJ. Kanan was only a padawan and was never knighted, the same with Ahsoka, and Ezra isn't even a padawan technically. So what Yoda said about Luke being the last Jedi Knight is true, from a certain point of view. There are clearly other force users running around, but knights are in short supply as their fire has gone out of the universe.

Actually Kanan technically did get knighted last season. but he probably dies at the end of the series anyway.

If the Lego version of the Uwing has wings that slide and lock back into position, this set will be a gem.  Move over republic gunship!

So that looks better to me than I thought.  However, I'm skeptical that LEGO will have been given the chance to do it right.  I think most licensees didn't get to see Kylo Ren's Shuttle, and that's why they all were designed similar (wrongly).  I'm going to guess the same thing is going to happen here.  I guess I'll let myself be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong.

Other than the kylo ship not being able to rotate out at an angle, that ship is mostly accurate.  I can't complain too hard about it.  The wings are shown folding down in the movie.  You can see it in one shot while they are on Maz Kanata's planet and the xwings are flying towards the castle.

My brain cannot understand why extended wings are needed for space / hyperspace travel in SW universe (ie, they were folded when the ships are planet-bound).  However, I like that look even though it does not make "sense"

Yeah, it would make sense the other way around. However, this was taken from a 3d model that was in a video that just showed the functionality of the ship.  So, maybe it will be extended when it goes through atmosphere.

Looks cool, but no, no, no...this cannot replace the awesome Republic Gunship in my opinion.  That is such a great troop transport and assault vehicle with the pod turrets on the sides and wings.  Man I love me some PT vehicles!

I love those gunships, too. Always reminded me of Vietnam era helicopter assaults with Hueys and Chinooks.

Nothing really makes "sense" scientifically in the SW universe. That's why we love it.

I agree. 75021 Republic Gunship is in my book, a top 10 non-UCS based set in the the Star Wars line.  Such a gem.  That's one set we will always keep in our collection.  That and 7662 MTT are the top two sets from the prequel era in my opinion.

But, there's gotta be some gems in this era too.  Out of all the Rouge One and Force Awakens designs so far, this U-wing and the First Order Transporter are the two that stand out so far as having at least some originality to them, at least to me.

Am pumped for the new AT-ST. Believe this will be the first since the one included in 2009's Battle of Endor (not counting the mini). And that one was pretty small. From the leaked pic, it looks to be the biggest AT-ST we've gotten, aside from the UCS one.

While we're busy debating the leaked sets over the SW 2016 thread, how about a little news:
