rdandy5875 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I have a couple sets that I regretfully have to return to Amazon (not a reseller). A couple SW sets came in with the boxes too crushed for me to accept. Should I specify that "the shipping box wasn't damaged but the items were" or just something vague like "no longer want"? Does it matter? Thanks all. Best Regards. Quote

You may have to pay shipping back if you say you don't want the item any longer. 1 Quote
rdandy5875 Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 Thanks, just finished the return. I did mention in the notes what exactly they did incorrectly that led to the damage. I just wonder, though, because my definition of damage may not shared with the recipient. What will happen if they deem the items "not damaged". Oh well. Back they go. I've been pretty lucky so far imo. This is the only amz return out of a dozen orders. Quote
tacsniper Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I highly doubt whoever is processing the returns give a dime of what the reason is. They are probably hammered with returns from the holiday season they will process everything back just to get those boxes in the recycling bin within their shift. Quote

zak001 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Items are inspected on return. If they're judged sellable they go back into inventory; if not they get returned to seller or end up as warehouse deals. The customer reason for return doesn't factor in at all; ALL returns get inspected. Quote
rdandy5875 Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 Thanks very much for the replies guys. On a side note 3 hours after I gave it to the UPS driver, they already issued a refund and the message says my return is complete. Lol. Really playing up the speedy return process. Quote
