Don't advocate such silly retirement ideas nothing ever retires! LOL jest

I am sure my 11R13 boxes were just freshly made.

Only if they came special delivery via a Delorean.

LEGO Shop at Home Australia order arrived today seal code 51s4 same as the Germany ones. Still showing available on our (and I assume Europe) LEGO Shop at Home.

For what it's worth, I contacted Lego Customer Service (Canadian here) yesterday to ask if they can "guarantee" that my R5 order will eventually be fulfilled, and if they can't guarantee I'd like to order elsewhere.

The response, from a very pleasant CSR (as always) was that they plan to begin shipments on March 16th, and whoever placed an order will eventually have it fulfilled by LEGO Shop at Home.

Again, for what its worth.

OK...this is my conjecture: CONJECTURE.

I really do believe that they are going fulfill these orders. Call me a "pie in the sky" hopeful, but the fact that they have placed the X-Wing on the site (when they could have easily just taken it off and listed it as out of stock) and then answered questions via phone in a VERY specific manner that orders are being fulfilled on the 15th, lead me to believe that there IS some order fulfillment strategy and that there ARE sets available.

After this wave of sets is distributed, though, who knows what will happen after? But I do have some faith that the present standing orders will be fulfilled.

If you have a similar experience of the lego online shop taking orders, making a firm date for shipping, but then cancelling, I'd love to hear it. I'm just a newb.

These things must be selling like hot cakes, next batch shipping march 23. Im thinking this is a good investment, still pretty cheap and prolly pick up a few bucks around christmas time.

There is still time. Resurrection Sunday is in April this year and I expect this one will go during the first few hours of double points.

IMO both Red Five and the upcoming Tie Fighter aren't my favorite models. I have Red Five on Display, but not a huge fan of it. And the Tie fighter (while cool to finally get the basic Tie) is still sort of plain to me. However both of these sets together chasing each other on a shelf or something sounds awesome. Maybe add some lasers in LEGO form to have one of them shooting the other :D

Not sure i believe that LEGO will keep Red Five around just to compliment the Tie Fighter, but either way i hope many see these 2 sets as "must haves" together. I have yet to really commit to this belief though as i am a smaller time investor and 2-4 of these would be my max, but i'd like to think other collectors will feel the same way about needing both to compliment each other, as i believe on it's own it's not an amazing model.

Only have 2 of these myself at this time; but i might redeem some airmiles points towards the few that are still available on TRU.ca (these are slowly going oos, down to 16 or so).

Again just my opinion, man.

Anyone figured out how to put laser pointer inside lego enclosure? Though you would have to introduce some sort of foggy environment to make the beam visible...

I mentioned this on the order status thread, but it looks like my Red Five LEGO Shop at Home order from December might be coming soon. My credit card was charged this afternoon, anyway.  Looking forward to playing the seal code lottery.

One last gas tank refill before it exits stage left.

That is my story and I am sticking to it,

Yep and if you all in the herd can just handle not buying them all right away, double VIP starts in 4 days.

But instead this will happen today:

And this is why the seal codes tell you nothing other than that some set was put together on some date. Some people will say new seal codes so last batch, others will say new seal codes so this is in full production. You won't know which it is until it's too late.
