Trying to use logic seems futile.

Obviously, TLG will want to keep HH around for Halloween....right? Then I had to F5 and scramble.

Many of us made that mistake, waiting for double-VIP.

They do not change their minds. The people who made the decision to EOL Red-5, or not, will not change opinion. That is just not done.

When they make such decisions it means alot of mechanisms in the planning and production will have to change. One cannot turn this around so easily. It will cost time and money and some people might have to admit they were wrong. Which will never happen.

There was aerial drone footage posted earlier this year from the UK Star Wars set. It prominently featured a full size MF that was clearly being used for interior shots. MF will have a prominent role in the new movie.

I am a member of the group who thinks red five will be around for two more years to go with the UCS tie fighter.

The name of the group is the... kind of optimistic lifespan and in defiance.

Also, TLG would retire the TH after the PS ... right? Obviously not. Using logic when predicting the retirement of sets is almost useless now.

Sad news. What dates on the seals?

I don't know. I've bought the last 10240 in this online store but they told me that will restock it. Few days ago I've seen that they had it again

In the LEGO Shop at Home Italy is AVAILABLE NOW since few weeks ago after a period of delayed shipping

Be careful - will restock is not have restocked!!!!!! True that it is back on Lego shop at home, though.

When we see 2015 seals we can say this one is not dead but I have reason to believe that that won

Any large organization with multiple layers of management are inherently slow moving for these reasons. Production schedules are set way in advance and the current schedule has no room to add extra runs. So the cost of change is massive and staff will not want to force the issue on a hunch if it means they might be wrong and look silly. The only thing that can change schedules short term are external disrupters such as Abrams getting his way and pushing EPVII release back to May 2016

+1 what Locutus said: For the first time Galeria Kaufhof cancelled one of my orders (from Feb 26).

What concerns me a little is that amazon.de now has 10240 "available in 3 to 6 weeks".

So I guess that means more are definitely coming? Or still can go either way?

I've had the same message 3 times since the end of December. No idea on this one, but it happened to a HH last Fall... a HH which was ultimately cancelled.

I've received these emails both on items that were cancelled (most recently some creative suitcases) and ones that I eventually received (palace cinema). The message isn't telling either way in my opinion.

In my opinion

All US backorders will be filled they will have stock for about a week after that and then it will have flown its last flight.

Goodbye Red Five.  It was nice knowing you. LOL.

What I think is funny is it is like the EEE in reverse.

EEE is probably more popular in Europe so it is retired there.  Here they raised it to limit 5 (if memory serves) and are trying to unload stock.

Star Wars is so popular in the US that they are having to finish filling and pulling more stock for the US

But overseas in Europe there is plenty.

So like the SSD continued to be available in Europe for several months after the US was gone I suspect the same thing will happen here with Red Five too.
