Wrothgar Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 AB is a nostalgia investment, same than speedor. The buy-and-forget in the attic kind!I'm ready hunting the king pigs castle and AB minifigs Quote
comicblast Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I assume the sets will be based off of the movie, which will hit theatres at about the same time that the sets come out (Spring 2016), so some of the pictures may begin to "click" once we get to see actual footage. The red guys actually really resemble each other IMO, so it's not as if the new minifigure is way out off target. Also digging the egg piece, though a normal minifigure can't exactly hold it. TLG should give the egg a 1x1 base to give it some usage outside of the Angry Birds world. Quote
exciter1 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 OK, will these birds have legs? Has there ever been a minifig without legs? Well, besides Jabba. Do you think these will be built with a launch system, like the toys from previous years. Throw the birds and knock down platforms, walls with piggies, etc.? Quote

Darth_Raichu Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Err is that supposed to be a kids/family movie ? Quote

dcdfan Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 So now there's Angry Birds AND Bad Piggies... Quote
TheOrcKing Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 These 3D models of the figures appear borderline to DUPLO ones. From the bowl, plate studs, and arms with hands on that pig, I can tell they will be regular minifigure scale but even so it and the bird posted earlier share the bulky simplicity in form much like the larger DUPLO figures. I wonder what particular shade of green LEGO will use; maybe bright green which is a relatively rare color for arms mostly seen with a couple of the TMNT sets and some holiday ones. Quote

10230 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Also, I didn't see this here yet (from http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110494&st=175): 75821 - EUR 19.7575822 - EUR 29.5875823 - EUR 46.0875824 - EUR 52.3375825 - EUR 70.9975826 - EUR 91.33 These prices seem to be a bit "odd", but are consistent with the blank boxes in that one image. https://www.flickr.com/photos/106059579@N03/22987003976 Edited December 11, 2015 by 10230 Quote
thegooch49 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Brickset has some images up of the upcoming Angry Birds sets. To me, these look really lame and dated. I really question the relevance of Angry Birds. http://brickset.com/article/18315/lego-angry-birds-revealed 3 Quote
tacsniper Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 regardless of what we think of it; as long as kids love it, it will sell. Which means, we will be buying them. 1 Quote

10230 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) Yes, see http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/14316-lego-angry-birds-will-take-flight/#comment-465852 1 hour ago, joch29 said: http://toysnbricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/LEGO-Angry-Birds-2016-Sets-First-Image.jpg Pretty cool. Just not sure if it will be good for re-selling. I guess it depends on the movie. And I like that you need almost every set to get all of the birds. Edited December 22, 2015 by 10230 Quote
Sozial Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I can just see that as buy and sell at XMAS 2016 if stores run out of supply. As Long-term this is the same as Lone Ranger, Lego Movie, Turtles etc. Quote
Mos_Eisley Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 The sad thing is that the Angry Birds castle is better than the Nexo Knights castle. That's not really saying much, but I still think it's a better castle. 1 Quote

TheOrcKing Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 These sets are associated with the film over just the game's source material therefore I imagine the references in design make almost no sense until then. Still out of them all, I kind of like the little hut with motorcycle. The character figures are outside what I prefer and relatively close to a DUPLO figure but they seem to match the film going by the trailer at least. Anyway I can imagine some interesting stop motion clips showing up on YouTube down the road. Haha. Quote

TheOrcKing Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 While still not knowing anything of the film's material or content, I do like the cartoony appearance these builds have. The plane, beach house, hut, and vehicle are nice. At least the pigs having regular minifigure arms will make them a tad more usable to me for other characters since light bright green (whatever) is an extremely rare color in minifigure parts I believe last time I checked. Also apologies to Gallows and his posted images being stubborn. 2 Quote
