Fenix_2k1 Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) Remember when you were at Uni and you had a 5000 Word essay, but were 300 short when you finished so had to go back and add some filler words in? This is the Lego equivalent. Edited August 16, 2016 by Fenix_2k1 8 Quote

No IG -88 !!? and some new safety railing! not sure the empire ever gave a crap about safety?? No safety railing present is the way I would want it.. All it does is make playing with figures inside it much harder. You kidding me, the empire are the big bad corporate entity, they'd have red tape coming out of their ears and health and safety officers running riot on the Death Star. Even Vader would have cowered at the might of the red pen brigade Do you not remember this scene from the movie? 18 Quote
Rodeogeorge Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 I may give up on Lego, but I'm never going to give up on you guys. I cant quit you! 7 Quote

For every Slave 1(which is a hot seller and will be around for an eternity) there are 5 very slow movers. Interested in this. Based on data you have seen, or just anecdotal? 1 Quote

Martae54 Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) I thought for sure the new DS would come with a "Disney" printed brick. Oh well. I wonder which set will get it first!?? Edited August 16, 2016 by Martae54 Quote

I gave up on 10188 so long ago that I'm just numb to it. LOL I was like that. I lasted ages not even buying one, i never even liked that set at all. But in the end i still bought some. It's all about greed you see, if you dont buy any, you think you will miss out on something. Quote

But what if you want even more likes, but don't want to bother with all that pesky creativity a second time??? It's simple, just 75159 it!! All you'll need to do is to color those signs dark gray, add a railing, and at least one cheese slope and, bam!! You've got a second picture you can post again in 8 pages! You should be able to ride the coat tales of this one good idea until you've milked every like out of the entire community!** **Warning: 75159'ing may cause sudden reputation implosion, hack-backlash syndrome, and Lepinrosy 2 Quote

I think most can relate to the Big Mac Up until around 2008 they weren't exactly far off.... Anyone who relies on the Big Mac Index needs to have their head examined. McDonald's prices things to what they believe the market will pay instead of offering an average of what consumers are willing to pay across the board. All this means to me is that people have been willing to pay more for the convenience of fast food in the last 10 years. * Note - I'm not an economist nor do I have any interest in being one. But I am willing to use some common sense when interpreting what I read on the internet. 3 Quote

asharerin Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 If you guys think $500 is expensive then I imagine sticker shock for 10188 Part III in 2025 is going to be insane 3 Quote

Given its simplicity, it has been surprisingly accurate, therefore having some merit. You are obviously right that it's flawed in several ways and it shouldn't be used for anything than getting a rough estimate. 1 Quote

Out of the Dark Years Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 If they start putting stickers on minifigures instead of printing that'll be the final nail in the coffin. 1 Quote
Val-E Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Well, I feel sorry for the folk that bought in on 10188 at RRP or above and held. They are in for a very interesting ride. 1 Quote

Ed Mack Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 All the charts in the world won't convince me that a tweaked 10188 should have a MSRP of $500. 1 Quote
