All those ridiculous fanboys were way off the mark... There's a nice little dig about them in the film as well. That's 1. Good for you. The movie only needs $70 million more to make up for $140 million production cost. I assumed Sony spent $0 on advertising considering all the "controversies" surrounding the movie

Keep it up guys I am neutral on the movie, but I will wait until it shows up on Prime (soon!) before checking it out
Loghamel
Leslie Jones was definitely the weakest IMO and Kate McKinnon sometimes tried a bit too hard. McCarthy and Wiig were pretty awesome.

giannini78
It will definitely recoup its money, plenty of good reviews of the movie plus plenty of people rating it having seen it. Probably will need to wait until the blu-Ray release before it really picks up. Definitely going to pick up the Ecto 1 & 2.

BrickLegacy
My wife took my daughters to it. They all liked it even though it was scarier than expected. My wife said it was "funnier than the original" which was an insult to my 80s childhood on all levels.
Quacs
It must hurt GBs worldwide gate that China banned it from theaters. I believe China is the second largest movie going market in the world - tough to lose that audience... That said, I liked it.
Alpinemaps
Finally caught the 2016 movie over the weekend. I enjoyed it. It was fun. Had some funny moments. I felt it was more homage than copy. Keeping in mind I still remember seeing the originals in the theater (multiple times) in 84 and 89, and I can probably quote from memory 90% of the original film at any moment. I liked the cameos. It was all good. I even enjoyed the after credits scene, too.

Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones were easily my favorites. One qualm I feel as though they made Chris Hemsworth too much of a doofus. I mean there is funny dumb and then just plain, well, "bless his heart".
